The Roadtrip

Chapter 5

BUZZ BUZZ* BUZZ BUZZ* BUZZ BUZZ*

I woke up and grabbed my phone off the side table next to me.

I put the phone up to my face closely, I wince at the Bright light on my face. So I turned my brightness down.

It had a random number on the screen. I opened the message and read it.

"Hey Elaine. I just wanted to know if you wanted to hang out today? Ya know, go grab somethin to eat, go hang out at the beach, go see a movie, or anything else. If you don't want to I understand, but I just wanted to ask."

I was about to start replying, but he sent another one.

"Sorry if I woke you.."

I just started typing.

"Oh it's fine. I need to get Hunter up in about an hour or so anyway. But yeah, I would love to!" I replied.

I put my phone down and pulled the cover off of me to get up and go to the bathroom.

I turned on the light and got my toothbrush an toothpaste and turned on the water. As I was brushing my teeth, I turned on the shower, I waited a couple seconds before it got warm.

I put my toothbrush down and rinsed my mouth out.

I then brushed my hair really quick.

I started to take my clothes off to step into the shower.

The warm water felt so good against my body. I have been kinda stressed because of my parents in the hospital and having to take care of Hunter.

I had walked over to where I had put Hunter to sleep, and just opened the blinds. Which normally causes him to wake up on his own. Which he did several seconds later.

He reached up for me and started crying. So I just took him to change his diaper and clothes, he didn't like it, of course..

But I got everything back together to get ready for my day with Austin today.

I heard my phone buzzing in the bedroom, so I put everything down and rand to get it.

I saw that Austin was calling me.

I answered.

"Hello?" I said

"Hey Elaine. I just wanted to know what you want for breakfast. I am already downstairs, so I'll go ahead and get your food if ya want me to." I heard him say.

"Yeah, okay. And umm. I'll just have what I had yesterday. And before we leave we are gonna have to stop by my Aunt Kate's house and drop Hunter off so that I won't have to bring him with us." I said while smiling.

"Okay, and whose car do you wanna go in today? We can go in mine, or your truck. Your choice." He said.

"Umm. Can we just go in yours, I have to get my oil changed soon, so I don't know if it's gonna last. Aunt Kate said that she would take it to a shop

later today." I said.

"Okay, he said. I will be down here waiting at the same table. See ya in a couple minutes." He said.

"Okay then, see ya." I said while getting everything back together. I looked at the clock one more time before I left. 8:00.

The doctor said last night that he will only call at night. But if anything happens, then he will call me immediately. So I don't have to worry about that as much anymore..

I got into the elevator, and it was a rather quick ride down. So i got to the table the same time Austin got back with our drinks.
