(Ben's POV)
Oh my fucking god. She looks so cute right now. I can’t believe she’s drinking that coffee though?! It’s cold for fucks sake, she’s a weird one. But she’s beautiful, I guess. what is fucking wrong with me. I sound like a bloody girl!
Jay smiled at me as I ran my fingers through my hair and winked.
“Come on! We better leave before we run out of time to get clothes before the train leaves-” I cut her off realising I’d forgotten something.
“Shit! Yeah I‘ll go check the train times. Actually, I‘ll just get Matt to do it when we get downstairs, he‘ll do it quicker than me. And I can’t be assed.” I scoffed and turned the TV off. “So what we doing before we get the traaaaaaain?” Jay questioned me, looking kind of exited at the thought of going out and grinning like a kid.
“Erm, well I‘m not really sure. I need to get clothes, and something to eat, I fucking starving! I‘ll bring the cookies with us though… we can eat them on the way into town if you want?” Why the fuck did I have to mention the cookies. I’m such a dick. She’s gunna think I’m a total weirdo now, going on about cookies.
“That‘s cool! I love cookies. And shopping could be fun… only I‘m not sure what shops are around town cause I haven‘t been shopping here since last summer. Sounds fun though.” She grinned and ran over to the sofa to pick up her coat. Well, my coat. It looks better on her though, plus I told her she could keep it haha damn she is so cute in that coat. She chucked me mine and I picked up our bags from the kitchen counter and put my coat in my bag, It looks pretty sunny out so I don’t see the point in wearing it at the moment.
“Here, and I put your Vodka in your bag earlier, seems stupid to waste it by leaving it here…” She took the bag and smiled at me sweetly, her eyes bright from the sun light reflecting off them. “Thanks Ben! We better get a move on then and find out when this train leaves, before we miss it!” Jay rolled her eyes and laughed. Her laugh is so melodic, it puts all my past girlfriends laughs to shame. Though to be perfectly honest, just Jay in general makes me wonder why I ever bothered with them…. And how I ever thought they were perfect, in comparison to her they’re all far from. I know I’ve slept with a lot of girls in the last couple of years, just seen a hot girl and though, ‘wow, I wanna get her in bed‘. I don’t feel like that with Jay though. She deserves to be treated right, with respect, and so she gets anything I can possibly give her. Not that other girls don’t deserve respect, she just radiates perfection to me. I couldn’t hurt her purposely if I tried.
Finishing my train of thought I remembered the conversation we were having and by now Jay was looking at me funny, she looked a bit concerned that I hadn’t replied to her for a few minutes. I snapped out of it and grinned broadly.
“Yeah sure! Sorry, just got stuck in a bit of a day dream, but yeah we should get going. It‘s only about 10:30 but there‘s no reason to waste any time.” I opened the door and signalled for her to go first, she giggled quietly but did so after picking up her bag. I followed her out the door and into the lift back down to the ground floor reception desk.
“HEY MATTY BOY!” I roared and we entered the lobby, he looked up startled and relaxed when he realised it was me. “Could I ask you a favour mate? Can you check the train time tables back to Central London for me for today? Sometime before 3pm would be great…” I winked at him in a jokey way and he started typing into the computer stupidly fast before replying.
“Yes, of course. Umm, well from York, there are 5 trains leaving to London before then and you will probably want to get the one at…. 2:35pm. Is that any good for you?” he looked up at me from the screen and smirked. I turned around to check with Jay, and asked her in that was okay for her.
