Astrid's already gone by the time I slide out of bed, groaning internally against my sore muscles. I quickly slip on a different long sleeved shirt, not caring about how I look today. I smooth out my hair, then run down to the clubhouse to find everyone looking about the same as me.

Tired, worn out, but still full of spark.

Heather's eyes are gleaming as she gestures wildly to Astrid, who laughs in return. The twins, Snotlout, and Fishlegs are all exchanging jokes, everyone in the room gathered around the table with a fire blazing in the middle.

They all look happy, and are excited when I walk in. Astrid waves her arms and bites her lip, smiling goofily as she pats the bench next to her. I slide into the seat, grabbing some meat off of the plate being passed around the circular table.

She turns to me, then whispers, "I wanna sleep in your bed again tonight." She pouts and widens her eyes, a puppy dog face that I can't ignore. I try to look away, but she turns my face back to hers, squishing my cheeks. "Pleeaaasee?" For the love of Thor.

"Fine." She squeals, burrowing into my chest as Heather smiles uncontrollably and Snotlout pretends to gag. I wrap my arms around her, kissing the top of her head and pressing my cheek against her, but I can feel my face warm up when Heather screeches,

"YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY SO CUTE, I JUST CAN'T!" She nearly falls off of the bench, hands on her face. I can feel Astrid blushing a little as well, and she pulls away a tiny bit. Tuffnut groans.

"Come on, Heather! You ruined it!" Astrid's now officially blushing, biting her lip and looking down as she pulls away from me, staring into her plate. She's embarrassed, nervous and sad. I hate to see her like that. So, like the amazing person I am, I lean in and whisper,

"You aren't gonna let them stop you, are ya?" She looks over to me, still biting her lip, and raises an eyebrow.

"What?" The table is still buzzing, Heather and Tuffnut arguing and fangirling over us, while Snotlout waggles his eyes at Ruff, who's whispering into Fishlegs' ear and eyeing us. I lean in closer, whispering into her ear as low as I can, grazing her ear slightly with my teeth. I can feel her tense under my touch as I hiss,

"It doesn't matter what they think." She lifts her eyes to mine, straightening up and smiling.

"Yeah." I wasn't expecting it, but she smashes her lips against mine, running her hands into my hair as my eyes nearly pop out of my head. Everyone at the table cheers as she grins mid-kiss, pulling me closer. I close my eyes, pulling her towards me by the small of her back.

She scoots closer to me on the bench as I tangle my hands into her hair, pressing into her. Heather squeals and leans against Astrid, who laughs as she pulls away. I don't want her to go, but there are probably boundries when around other people. And I think we crossed them.

Heather screeches into her ear while Ruffnut and Tuffnut dance around the table, singing The Dancing & Dreaming at the top of their lungs. Snotlout and Fishlegs just continue eating, swatting away the crazy singers and screechers.

"Alright, alright!" Astrid laughs, her face a bright pink, as she slaps her hand over Heather's mouth. "Enough!" Heather smacks her hand away, grinning wildly.

"Fine, but you guys are just so cute!" I laugh, and Astrid turns back to smile at me. She gently plants a kiss onto my lips, then leans into my shoulder, closing her eyes and grinning contently.

I lay my head down on hers, closing my eyes as well.

She slides her hand behind us so that the others can't see, and takes mine. We remain like that for the rest of breakfast, secretly sending each other heat whenever the other needs it. When everyone finishes, she looks over to me and smiles, then drags me out of the room.
