"Why did I let you bring me here?" I questioned Kenzi as we stood in line for the dance audition to join Mahogany-N-Motion.

A huge smiled appeared on Kenzi's face.

"Because you love me and I'm the bestest friend a girl like you could ever have so this is you repaying me." She cheesed making me roll my eyes.

I glared at her.

"Don't flatter yourself. You could've just asked Jasmine to come try out with you." I replied back to her.

I'm not much of a dancer but I can do a little something something. This gym is filled with people, boys and girls, I'm not tryna embarrass myself. It also doesn't help that the morehouse brothers are here playing basketball in the gym.

"I did and she said no." Kenzi grumbled making me silently curse Jasmine for saying no.

We have a couple of more girls in front of us before it's our turn and I'm getting a fuzzy feeling in my belly.

"I'm so nervous." I mumbled lowly so only Kenzi could hear me.

"Take a couple deep breaths. We're gonna do fine, just remmember what we practiced, okay?" Kenzi said putting her hands on my shoulders to calm me down.

It doesn't help that I kind of forgot what we practiced. We only had three days to practice, between classes and keeping up with the girls I kind of forgot.

"Okay." I replied back to Kenzi nervously.

Just a few more girls left...

For some reason my eyes averted to the other side of the room and there sat Mr. Wolf on one of the bleachers. My heart instantly started pounding.

"He keeps showing up everywhere.." I said.

Kenzi followed my gaze and her mouth dropped.

"Ooooo you guys are so cute. Always running into each other everywhere. The campus is getting a whole lot smaller..." Kenzi gushed making me shake my head.

"You're right about the campus part." I replied back to her.

I don't want to dance in front of these boys and I definitely don't wanna dance in front of him.

"I got to go." I told Kenzi turning around towards the east side entrance.

"Hold up, sister. You can not leave me in here by myself. He probably doesn't even see you. This gym is huge." Kenzi assured me.

I looked back over at Mr. Wolf to see him paying attention to the boys.

"You're probably right." I told her.

"Good now lets do this because it's our turn." She said making me turn around to see the head cheerleaders staring at me.

There's four of them, Amber, Darla, Constance, and Tahja. They are all around the same skin complexion, lightskin, and they're all sporting their cheerleading uniforms. Out of all of them Tahja stood out the most because of her short hair, big eyes, and because she's the smallest.

"Are you guys ready?" Tahja asked us.

"Yes, we are! Here's our cd." Kenzi said holding up the cd she made.

"Well you know where to put it." Darla said snottily.

Kenzi nodded and went over to the stereo. She put the tape in and three seconds later the song came on.

Kenzi quickly came back over to me and then stood in the correct positions.

Once the song, Get Ur Freak On by Missy Elliot, began to play the moves came back to me instantly. Following Kenzi's lead we danced along to the song eventually I start hitting my own moves and my body started becoming more relaxed. Besides I love this song so it's not really hard to dance to.

Our dance lasted all the way until the end of the song and for our last move we both hit the splits at the same time but I just so happen to go all the way down unlike Kenzi who accidentally fell over.

My mouth dropped in shock as I looked at her before I could help her up everyone in the room started laughing like there was something to laugh at.

Kenzi got up and ran out of the room. I tried running after her but she was running so fast. I feel so bad for what happened. I didn't even feel like going back into the room just to hear our results so I just went back to our dorm room.

She has to come back here sometime.

After about an hour of laying on my bed the dorm room door flew open.

" Kenzi, where have you been?" I asked her.

"Calm down, I was just with Jasmine." She replied back to me as she grabbed stuff she would only need for a shower.

"I'm sorry about what happened earlier. It was just a stupid accident. Anybody could've fell." I assured her.

She waved me off..

"It's okay, you don't have to spare my feelings." She told me.

"No! You and I both know you're one of the best dancers on this campus. You don't need that little dance group to prove you are." I told her honestly.

Dancing is something she really loves and something she's really good at. I hope she doesn't give up because of one little mistake.

"It's alright, really, I don't need to be on that stupid dance team anyways. I'll just join a sorority or something." She replied back to me.

I smiled.

"Sounds like a good idea, just don't go nuts with it. I heard it's a lot of work joining one of those." I told her honestly.

"I'm gonna have to work with it because I refuse to be like you." She replied back making my mouth drop.

"Like me how?" I questioned her.

"A LAME!" She shouted making me mean mug her.

"Well this lame is going bowling with her teacher tomorrow night." I told her sticking my tongue out at her.

"Wait are you serious? Just you and him?" She questioned me.

"Well some of his friends are gonna be there but pretty much." I told her.

She squealed really loud.

"Girl you betta go! You're gonna be riding that chocolate stick in no time!" Kenzi exclaimed winking at me.

My cheeks started heating up.

"I'm a virgin you can't say those things to me plus he's a teacher! We're just gonna be friends, teachers and students can be friends right?" I asked her.

"You two are gonna be friends with benefits, watch! I give it a good month and you're gonna be riding him all night." Kenzi said pretending she's riding something with her bodywash bottle in her hand.

"Go take a shower because this is getting a little too nasty." I told her shooing her off.

"Whatever virgin Mary."
