Tony lifted her out of the car back at home and carried her into the house.

Jaxin, Natalie, Ruby, Tony's mom and sister, Vic, Mike and Jaime were all there to greet her with a welcome home party. The food was all laid out, music playing quietly in the background and she felt more loved than she could imagine. A tear still escaped her eye though and Tony's mom saw.

"What's the matter darling?" she asked.

"All this love and kindness just made me miss my parents. They were such beautiful people and would have loved to have known you all" she replied.

"I'm always here for you" Tony's mom reminded her.

"I know" she said, giving her a hug.

"I have something really important to ask Lily" Tony announced later on in the night.

"I've nearly lost this beautiful woman twice now and I can't imagine life without her. Lily, will you marry me?"

She looked up at him.

"I would be honoured" she said.

"And Jaxin and I have something to ask too. Will you Lily and Tony be Ruby's godparents?" asked Natalie, making them both smile.

"Yes, we will" answered Tony.

A massive group hug ensued.

"Welcome to the family" Tony's mom told Lily.

"Thank you, mam" she said, smiling so much she thought she would burst.
