'PARENTS FIGHT,
IT'S COMPLETELY NORMAL'Mathilda was on another one of her little adventures around the city, it was one of her favorite things to do. But today wasn't as exciting as most trips usually would be, so Mathilda decided to head over to Uncle Ben's for a shake. In the midst of sipping on her sweet drink a cute boy came up to her table with a soft smile plastered across his face.
"Is this seat taken?"
He asked kindly, placing his hand on the chair across from Mathilda. She nodded quickly as he pulled the chair out and sat down.
"So, what's a pretty little lady like you doing here all alone?"
Sure, that question definitely sounded creepy, hell even stalker-ish, but Mathilda didn't mind, she was mesmerized by his looks.
"This is my uncles diner, so I come here whenever I feel like it"
She replied simply, placing her chin in the palm of her hand and continuing to gaze at the beautiful boy in front of her.
"And your parents don't mind?"
He asked curiously
"No, they're the best parents I could ever ask for honestly."
Mathilda spoke in a dreamy tone, she truly loved her new family. They didn't fight like her old family
"That must be nice..."
The boy trailed off, looking down and fiddling with his slender fingers.
"What do you mean? Do you not have a good home life? Because if so—"
But he cut her off before she could finish
"No no, I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything. I'll leave you alone now"
He spoke with sadness evident in his voice
"Wait!"
Mathilda said, maybe a little too loud but she didn't care.
"I never got your name.."
She trailed off shyly, a light tint of pink covering her cheeks. Without a word the boy walked over to her pulling a permanent marker out of his pocket, he took her arm gently, almost as if he knew how much she had been hurt. Thoughts raced through her head as butterflies exploded in her stomach as the boy wrote something down on her arm. After closing the marker he gave her a wink and left the restaurant leaving her dazed.
It took Mathilda a solid minute to realize that she still hadn't looked at what he had written on her arm.

After reading that, Mathilda broke out into her happy dance, not caring about anyone else in the diner. She felt euphoric and couldn't wait to go home and tell Millie and Finn.
