Chapter 15
Mother Nature & His CurseExactly how did this happen?
One moment Gou Arika was talking to the headmaster and secretary and the next moment the representative of Death with an unlimited libido accidentally threw his baby out of the window.
Gou wasn't happy. At all.
But thanks to that he finally met the people he needed to meet in the first place. He actually intended to meet them after the Battle Royale but it seemed it was better to meet them earlier, considering all the scars these kids were forced to go through. So in his conclusion; running away was a good thing.
Gold sat down on a comfy sofa near to the entrance to their dorm building. Anyone could see how shocked he was and the raven didn't want to hide it.
"Arceus, you really have a large gamble with fate," Gou mumbled as he helped with a few tangled strings. "To have been put through all of this is just too unfair for me."
Black, who was sitting next to Gold, stared at the bright yellow string attached on Gou's finger. For some reason, his wasn't as perfect too.
"How did you do that?" Gold asked. "A normal person couldn't even see the string more less touch it. And for all of us, we can't even untangle it."
"Isn't it obvious? I already told you: I'm Mother Nature," Gou reminded. "I can only help with the strings but everything is temporary. And damn, both of you had it bad."
"How about you?" Touya spoke after long moments of silence. "You aren't in a good relationship yourself."
Gou smiled sadly, lifting up his tangled string. "It's this way when your soulmate is too stupid and oblivious. He didn't even realise I ran away so that just hurts more."
Gold's eyes sparkled. "You met your soulmate?"
"Yes, and we're dating but he's too stupid. Plus, he's also my Team Leader so it's hard," Gou mumbled.
"Well I heard that an assistant and leader couple isn't that badly treated," Touya recalled.
"That's not the real problem," Gou began, shifting to look over Black's string. "The real problem is our five year age gap."
In almost a similar situation, Black understood. He and N were also criticized with their only three year age gap. But they only said that age was a number and gender was just a label.
"Then again, I have pretty much smooth sailing while both of you hit an ice berg somewhere riding your ship," Gou said, trying to tie a few knots with the thin string. "Which reminds me... I still haven't gotten your names."
"Oh I'm Touya, call me Black though. And that's Ethan but he prefers-"
"Let me guess? Gold?"
Gold then raised an eyebrow. "Is it too obvious?"
"No, it's just I'm from Pallet Town in Kanto and I travelled around ten regions already," Gou told. "So one way or another I have known Regional Champions around the globe we live in. But for now, there's only five who took that title."
"So you're not shocked?" Ethan asked.
"Rather than shocked, I am more towards pity," Gou admitted. "A suicidal love and also a lover who left is just a sad story to tell."
Black and Gold flinched at that.
"It's not your fault," Gou said with his eyes closed. "The strings can tell someone's love life and from what I can see... It wasn't even your fault. You have waited for them. And I can't meddle too much with your curse."
