Standing motionless
On an ever moving sea
The water almost drowning me.
Suffocating under the heavy sheet of pain
And the cold, cold water to blame
My heart frozen
It drowns with him in the deep deep sea,
No longer will he be.
How can I stand without the water moving me?
How can I stay when he sinks lower?
He's taken my heart and left a gaping hole where it once was.
A gaping hole where he was.
How can I stand when the storm blows?
How can I stay strong when I just want to fall?
I don't know how or why or when,
But I did and do.
I stand firm on the shore
As I watch him sink in the sea.
I stand strong with the wind blowing on me.
No longer is he,
No longer will he be,
But I am here,
But I stand firm and straight upon this shore.
But I am here breathing more and more.
But I am here and he is there,
There's nothing I can do,
But love him close and shed a tear,
For he is still near.
