Omggg I feel so bloody guiltyyyyy I'm so so sorry...I just had a lot to go through, ye I know it's no excuse so I'm just gonna give you this chapter right now even though I think it's quite shitty but I'll let you lovely people decide:
Harley was nervous, I could tell.
Her baby blue eyes kept a hidden torment that held her back from attacking the young doctor, that lead both of us to the medical wing.
"J?" She called turning to me
The guards were surrounding the both of us, but it was easy to say that if we wanted to break out of Arkham we would've no matter how many would hold the both of us back.
If we wanted to do something we would.
However, Harley was at a huge risk if I'd attempt any of the master plans that have been hidden in my messed up head.
"J are ya ok?" She turned to me abruptly stopping the whole movement.
My gaze lifted from the floor, "Of course pumpkin pie!" I grinned showing her my teeth.
She chuckled and shuffled closer to me, "ya don't look fine."
"Maybe I don't look fine because I was out for god knows how long!" Growling I lied straight to her face not caring if she'd catch on.
She did.
Her features softened displaying sympathy in the most pathetic of ways "What did ya see when you were out?"
"Nothing." I chucked darkly, "Just what my mind wanted me to see." she wouldn't want to hear and know what my twisted mind formed while I was passed out.
"I may look stupid but I have a phd." She rolled her eyes.
"And..?" I teased. She pushed my shoulder sadness in her eyes. I exhaled, a breath I didn't know I was holding. "I'll tell you later." Squealing she clutched onto me, "maybe." I whispered under my breath.
Silence followed soon after, the footsteps echoed in the empty halls of the huge Asylum. If I listened carefully I could hear the mumbling and the shuffling of the inmates on the other side of the building.
"Who's Bernie Bash?" The words slipped from my mouth.
"What." Harley was stunned
"Who is Bernie Bash?" I repeated more confidently this time.
In all honesty I was frightened of what I'd hear, who was he? But the Joker scared...I don't think so.
"I heard ya the first time." She squeaked, "he's nobody Puddin' just a ghost of my past."
"Well I think he's pretty important as he was the name you were uttering when you were unconscious!"
She gulped.
"So tell me Harley dear, Who. Is. Bernie. Bash?" My body was burning up, I could feel the pounding of heart in my ears. The rest of the sounds were eliminated as I tried to focus on my breathing and calm myself down. The fact that Harley was clutching onto me didn't help one bit. Shrugging my shoulder violently I pushed her off me speeding up my long strides towards to catch up with the doctor.
"Excited Joker?" The smirk of her face was evident, her face starring straight ahead.
"Heh, you could say that." Licking my lips she came to a halt and guided the both of us inside. The guards were left outside, for privacy reasons obviously.
The white painted walls brought unpleasant memories from my head. My posture straight to show no evidence of how I was feeling helped. I was quite sure in myself, no matter how much I though and tormented myself in the end nobody would ever notice. That was the beauty of being in control.
