"An orphanage!?" Jade look at me with a look of disbelief.

"Yeah."

"What are we doing here? Are you gonna adopt a kid?"

I laugh and smiled. "No. Actually we're here to visit the kids. The van behind us, there are foods and toys there that we will give them."

She suddenly open the car door and went out. He look at the back and look back at me.

"Damn. I didn't notice that van. So you are serious about it?" She asked while I went out the car. Locking it after.

"Of couse I am. They say it feels good seeing little kids smiling. I wanna try something new too." I said. "Follow me."

We walk inside the lobby seeing woman there.

A woman, maybe in her late fifties, smiled and approached us. "Are you Michael Clifford? The one that called us yesterday?"

"Yes. I really look forward seeing the kids today."

"Oh I am glad we have kind hearted people like you. I'm sure the kids would be glad." She then looks at who's behind me, Jade. "Oh my, what a pretty face." I look at Jade and saw her smiling shyly.

"Thank you Sister uhm... Can I know your name?"

"Oh just call me Sister Anne." She then smiled at the both of us with a look I could not decipher. "The two of you look good together."

Wait what!?

I was about to say something but,

"Oh no! We're not together! I mean we are together right now but not together together kind of things. We are just friends--  I mean workmates. Not really like workmates. I mean his my boss I'm his assistant." Jade said, rambling.

Sister Anne was smiling at her the whole time. "No need to panic dear. I understand."

I look at Jade and what I saw made me smirked. She's blushing looking almost like a tomato.

She looks cute.

I mean, yeah, I don't like her that way. I just said she's cute.

Why am I explaining myself!?

"Sooo..where are the kids?" I asked after a minute of silent between all of us.

"Oh come follow me."

"Goodmorning kids." Sister Anne greeted them.

We were in this large room with four tables that was surrounded with chairs and all of them was occupied with children.

They greeter Sister Anne back and then look at me and Jade confuse.

"So we have Michael and..." she looks at Jade with a questioning look, keeping a smile.

"Jade." She answered.

"Michael and Jade. They are the one's that choose to visit our orphanage and they brought treats with them. Are you excited?"

"Yes!"

"Yay!"

"Yipie!"

I felt warm in the heart seeing their cute little smiles. I was never like this before. I always think I'm too busy to even visit an orphanage and I thought it was a waste of time.

I only think that sending money/foods/toys for them is good enough but I never thought that seeing the smiles when they receive it feels much more better.

I look at Jade and saw her smiling sweetly at the kids. My heart feels better all of sudden.

"How about you talk with them before giving out the gifts? Me and the others will help getting them in the van." Sister Anne said and we both nod. She smiled and left the room leaving us with childrens.

"Hello guys! I'm Jade but call me Jadey instead. How about you all?"

The children answered in chorus, saying their names, making a deafening sound.

"Woah woah calm down kiddos. We'll say our names one by one, okay? Let's start with you." She pointed the girl with braided pig tails.

She smiled at us. "My name is Gem."

Then a boy beside her stood next. "I'm Marcus."

And it went on.

There were 20 children as I count, 5 children in each table.

"I love all your names children. They are all adorable like all of you." Jade said after the last children said her name.

She continue to talk with them. I stood behind her while I watch. It's hard not to watch her when she is all smiley while talking with them. It looks like she is having fun.

I realized I was staring- I mean looking at her too long. I was snap out of my looking when she clap her hands loudly.

"Okay kids, how about we sing and dance while we wait?" The kids start shouting in agreement. "Yay! Great! Any idea of what we can sing and dance?"

Gem raised her hands and stood up. "Baby shark!"

"Yay baby shark!"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!"

"Doo doo dooo"

The kids start getting loud but I didn't mind. It feels amusing watching Jade acts like a teacher in front of them. She really is fond of them. And I can tell the kids like her too.

"Okay then! Let's sing and dance baby shark!" She giggled after.

Wait...

She then pulled me beside her. "Michael will also join us." She said looking at the kids and look at me giving a wink.

She look back at them still with that smile.

"Jade, I--" I said but got cut off by a boy as I remembered the name was James.

"We will call you Mikey! I like your hair! Its Lilac, my favorite!" He beamed.

I smiled at him. "Thanks." I look back at Jade and whispered, "I don't sing and most of all I don't dance."

She frowned at me but not letting the kids see it making her face her back at them. "Don't be a party pooper. We are not gonna sing and dance something hard. Its just a nursery rhyme."

"Yeah I know but I will probably look stup--"

"Shush! The kids like you."

"Really?" I ask in disbelief. I barely talk to them tho.

"Yes. And they will be dissappointed if you don't do it with us. You don't want that, do you?"

I stared at her for a few seconds, looking at the kids and looking back at her before letting out a sigh. "Fine. But only once."

She clap her hands. "Great." She face back to the kids. "Let's all stand up and start. Follow my lead, okay?"

"Yes!"

Well I don't know how to do it so I'll have to follow her lead.

We started.

I was hesitating at first but when I saw how the kids were having fun I felt something different...

But when I look at Jade, her smile that almost reach her eyes. The look of fondness evident in her eyes. Her beautiful features.

I felt something much more different and I can't explain what that is.

Hey guyseu!!! So yeah I like what I did here. And yeah baby shark cause why not? Yeah I'm lame I know.

I just updated now cause sembreak just end and school is tiring with all these shitue that our lecturer is making us do. But we have no class tomorrow since there's a typhoon. Not that bad. But for students safety they have to suspend it. I'm not complaining tho.
