Chapter 45

Lizzy's P.O.V

"And that's basically how I ran into Nami" I said. I was explaining to her how I had ran into Nami when we were done with our little reunion.

"What do you think?" Asks Blaze

"About?" I ask

"About Nami" she says

"She seems to know what she is doing and is pretty confident but she needs to lighten up a bit" I say

"I don't like her" she says

I sigh.

"Why did you leave?" She asks

The question catches me by surprise but I expected it. "I'm sorry" I say

"I didn't ask for an apology, Lizzy" she says

I take a deep breath in and exhale slowly. "I left because I was told to, not because I was transferred to a different academy because of my ranks" I said

"Who told you to leave?" She asks

"Cantara" I reply

Blaze then stands up from her seat.

"Blaze please don't do anything stupid" I say

"And why shouldn't I?" She asks

"Because that's not like you" I say

"Then it's time for you to know that's not the real me" she says

"What?" I ask

She sighs. "Ever since I was young I was expected to do things a different way, then I met Mist and she showed me it's better for me to be happy when I'm myself than when I am someone that makes everyone else happy" she says

"Did she really tell you that?" I ask

She nods. "I owe Mist for that and I plan on repaying that debt." She says

I pull my gun from it's holster and reload it. "Then I'm going to help you" I say

"Lizzy it's to dangerous" she says

"Mist is my friend to and I also have a debt to repay her." I say

Blaze smiles and takes my hand. "Then let's go get back our Mist" she says

Sly's P.O.V

Sky and I are waiting for the rest of the team and Nami to show up near the jeep.

"Do you think we can bring her back?" I ask

"We have to" says Sky who is sharpening a throwing knife.

"I heard that Lizzy is back" I say

"Yeah, the more people the more fun it'll be over there" he says

"Sky what happens if ......... You know ....... We don't-" before I could finish my sentence he cut me off

"There is no way Mist is dead." He says

"But what if she is?" I ask

"We do everything we can to avenge her" he says

"What if some of us get really hurt?" I ask

"This team is full of great soldiers. Each of us will have each other's back. We'll be fine" he says

"You're very confident in our abilities" I say

"I have no reason not to be" he says

I sigh. "Sky, what do you think is beyond that force field?" I ask

"Judging by what Nami said and what we have seen, I don't really know" he says

"You two ready?" Asks Nami as she approaches us.

"Ready as we'll ever be" I say

"Where are the others?" She asks

"There finishing getting ready" says Sky

Nami nods. "You know I'll be saying this again when the rest of the team arrives but I'm telling you guys now" she says

"What?" I ask

"If you so please you can decide to not join me on this mission" she says

"Why would you think that we're not going with you on this mission?" Asks Sky

"This is a very dangerous mission and at any moment you could lose you're life" she said.

"Then that's a risk we are willing to take" says a voice.

Nami turns around to face the person and I can see that it's Blaze. Nami chuckles.

"Mist is lucky to have a friend as courageous as yourself." She says

Blaze nods. "So what are we waiting for let's go get Mist back!" She exclaims. Then turns around and gestures for the rest of the team to approach us. The team stops in front of Nami and I can see that all of them are ready to fight. Each one of the team members has a gun equipped and a weapon of their choice.

Nami sighs. "Well if you can't fight them, join them" she says

Sky stands up on the jeep and places his gun in the holster attached to his belt. He hops off the jeep and makes his way to the driver seat.

"Ready when you guys are" he says

I stand up and put the last few bullets into the gun. Blaze, Lizzy, I sit at the front while the rest of the team rides on the trunk of the jeep. Nami doesn't get on the jeep which confuses me. I always had my doubts on her being able to use any powers but now those doubts were put to rest.

Nami's P.O.V

When everyone is ready and on the jeep I approach the force field. I lift my hand and press my palm up against the barrier. There is a loud "boom" as my hand touches the barrier and I soon begin to see jolts of electricity trying to set my hand on fire. The feeling in painful at first but I have felt worse in my lifetime. I slowly push my hand forwards and the barrier slowly begins to open and reveal the contents on the other side. I grit my teeth and summon more of my power to help me creat an opening.

"Now Com!" I scream and Com shoots out a light blue electric current and while I expanded the force field to create an opening big enough for the jeep to go through. The blue electric current then covers the rim of the opening and manages to keep it open. I remove my hand and get out of the way of the jeep. Luckily Sky is smart enough to start the engine and begin to drive. When the jeep passes by me and extend my hand and reach for one of the sides of the jeep and we began to grow farther away from the opening.

"How long will that stay open?" Asks Eden

"It will close whenever something moves and goes through it. So it will most likely be open by he time Dan and Spark get back to join us" I say

"So where exactly are we cause this doesn't look like the remains of the academy?" Asks Luna

"The demonic dimension" I say
