"Yes Sonakshi .. you are completely safe don't worry"

They sat down in the car waiting for jatin. Sonakshi was trying to put her seatbelt on but the plaster on her hand was not allowing her to do so. Dev saw this and thought of helping her . He removed his seatbelt and leaned in. Sonakshi stared at him as he came forward. His face was just an inch away from hers. His eyes never left hers. He grabbed the seatbelt and pulled it. As soon as the click occurred he immiediatly went back to his position on his seat. An awkward silence prevailed . It was when jatin entered that the silence was broken. Dev drove the car back to his house . Seeing the familier lanes Sonakshi got a little scared as the dreadful encounter of vampire and his gang flashed. She clutched his hands tightly
"Sonakshi ....Sonakshi are you ok"
"What if they come back "
"Sonakshi they can't harm you....I won't let them even touch you ....Sonakshi sssh "
He said while stroking her hair and driving the car .
"Sonakshi he is right.....me .dev...Alex...all of us will keep you safe....don't be scared "
They reached the lane and soon parked in front of the house .
"Sonakshi come"
He said while opening the door for her . She hesitated a bit, the fear of being so close to death kept flashing in her mind
"Sonakshi nothing will happen trust me"
She came out but clutched his hands tightly. Dev protectively kept a hand around her waist . Her head was on his chest and she was walking very slowly ,she wouldn't even be walking if it was not for dev . It was him who was actually making her walk. They reached the hall and he made her sit on the sofa. He made a glass of water fly over to her
"Sonakshi here have some water "
He said while sitting down near her   she cuddled into him and drank some water.
"Dev why are you doing this?"
"Doing what ?"
"Caring for me ,helping me,protecting me...why....why are you putting yourself into danger .. why"
"Because I love you. Yes sonakshi I love you. The day I met you I fell for you. Your eyes ,your lips,your voice ,your hair...I have fallen for them. "Dev... I love you too." Was the only thing she could say as dev placed his lips on her and kissed her . She responded with equal passion . Jatin who was standing at the door turned around and murmered
"I didn't see anything "
Dev broke the kiss and glared at him
"Did you have to announce that ...we were having such a nice time "
"Sorry....you two enjoy I am going to my room "
Saying so he flew into his room
"Let's continue"
Saying so he kept his lips on hers and kissed her again.
They broke apart and Dev kissed her forehead and then rested his on hers
"I love you💖" he whispered

Disturbing their romance was the notification from his phone from the vampire news app

Was the headlines . Dev immiediatly stood up and switched on the TV
"Dev what happened" 
He did not reply but told her to watch the news

"An old women was killed at midnight by a vampire. Vampire police say that it was not an accident but a planned murder. The whole house is in a mess and on the mirror it is written
'lady we will come ...come for you...no one can stop is from conquering your Homeland . Angel be ready'. The police are still looking for proofs about the woman "
Just then the photo of the woman was flashed on the screen
"Aunty....." Screamed sonakshi
"Sonakshi you know her "
"Yes, she was the one who looked after me after the death of my parents . She was just like my second mother and now..." She bursted into tears.
Dev came and hugged her. She clung onto him and refused to let go
"Dev ....dev did you see the news.....why's she crying "
"Jatin she knows the woman. It was her aunty"

Saying so he came and spread his feathers over her. She soon calmed down. Her eyes were red and tear stains were all over her cheeks. She moved away from dev but still clung onto him. Dev carried her to his room . He had chanted a new and stronger security spell.
He made her lie down and lied down beside her
"Dev...because of me aunty lost her life...it's all my fault ...dev you should also go away ...your life is also in danger "
"Sonakshi ssh firstly it is not your fault that she lost her life. Sonakshi we will take revenge ..we won't spare those idiots . Secondly about my life also being in danger. She cuddled more into him and hugged his torso and closed her eyes . Dev stroked her hair lovingly and in between kissed them.
If she trusted anyone in the world right now then it was Dev. She didn't even trust herself or god. She trusted him to protect her ,to keep her safe and to love her. She knew that he would never break her trust. With this trust she slept a peaceful sleep.
