New Beginnings - A Nathan Riggs Story [Grey's Anatomy]

Friendly new faces.

Not happy with how the day went, I finally got to meet Miranda Bailey. Apparently there was some mixup with the paperwork it wasn't show to everyone.
"So Dr Riggs, this is uh...everyone"
There was some silence but under that silence there was some smiles and nods.
"Everyone, Nathan Riggs"
And shortly after there were some heys coming from some people up the front and back.
"Well, let's not waste your time - get back to work people!"
And with that, everyone hurried off just wanting to get out of there
"Friendly bunch?" I let out a laugh and got ahold of my things.
"Trust me, once you get to know every body you'll come to like each other"
"I'm sure, we'll see you tomorrow!"
almost forgetting, I reached over the desk onto my left and grabbed my bag and hung it over my shoulder. It had been a long, long day I thought to myself.

I got to the elevator just before it shut, squeezing my hand through the tiny gap and managing to get myself into the elevator. There was another woman in the elevator with me, very tense but also calm looking tapping away at her phone.
"I'm Nathan, Nathan Riggs"
She brushed her hair out the way of her face so she could stare up at him.
"I know who you are"
"Oh really? Were you just in that introduction meeting?"
"No but I uh, my sister - Pierce, she was the one who took your patient this morning"
"Oh I wouldn't put it that way"
"Ha! No need to cover up, we've all been there"
She let out a little laugh which lit up her eyes.
"So, do you work here?"
She turned back around to face me this time, staring right through her strands of hair that covered her eyes.
"Meredith Grey."
The elevator bell went off.
"The Meredith Grey?"
She popped her phone back into her pocket.
"Yup!"
And with that, the doors had opened and off she went, I lifted my head up to see that she had gotten off on the second floor. Wow.

6:13am
I had only been home for a few hours but to be woken up with my phone vibrating like crazy on the bedside table, it seemed like i've been home much longer.
911, Need you here!
- Bailey.
I let out a huge yawn and stretched my arms way out. Turning to my bedside table once again to check my messages from before hand just to wake me up a bit before I headed into the shower.

"Morning Dr. Bailey"
Catching up the chief, I walked up next to her with my hands in my coat.
"What we got?"
"Riggs, happy first real day"
She backed into a glass door to reveal a room full of doctors hovering over not one, but two patients.
"Enjoy..."
I looked back at her with a "Thankyou!" and raised my hand motioning to high five
"Eh what's this?"
"You don't high five?"
She just starred at me like I was from another planet, but she lost focus when she shook her hand and turned around.
"Don't make me call Pierce, get to work!"
