Chapter 17

The same day
August POV
Me and Ashleigh were at my house my homeboys Chris and Trey coming over to see baby girl they were supposed to meet Ava to but today's not the day, Ashleigh was in my bed taking a nap while I'm downstairs watching the game. The doorbell rung and I heard Ashleigh cry I unlocked the door to let Chris and Trey in and told them I'll be back in a minute, I walked in my room while Ashleigh was in the middle of my bed crying up a storm
"Aye little momma what's wrong"
She just kept crying, I figured she was hungry so I grabbed her and her diaper bag walking downstairs joining Trey
"Where's Chris"
"Take a guess and who's this"
He tried to grab her but she wasn't feeling him so she started to cry harder I walked in the kitchen
"Chris get yo ass out my refrigerator"
He was all in a niggas refrigerator having a whole sandwich in his hand with a glass of soda in the other, Ashleigh won't stop crying and they asses ain't helping a nigga out. I put Ashleigh down so I could fix her bottle only for her to cry for me to pick her up
"Hold on momma daddy coming"
She pulled on my joggers
Chris came and got her
"Hey lil momma I'm ya uncle Chris"
Trey came in and looked mad
"Oh hell no how she gone go to his big headed ass and not me"
She wasn't feeling Chris either she turned to look at me, I'm done making her bottle so I took her from them giving her the bottle my baby was hungry
"She spoiled"
I shook my head
"Yup I turned her from being a mommas girl to a daddies girl"
"That's how it was with Royalty"
"Speaking of momma where she at"
I shook my head, let me tell y'all she already had a shitty attitude because of the post my ex Amber posted so I took them to the park and Amber all of a sudden popped up outta nowhere next thing I know Ava had her earrings off with her hair in a bun and everything went left from there I took her moody ass home and dropped her off and told her she need to calm her little ass down and came home with Ashleigh
"Damn so-
My doorbell rung cutting him off
I walked towards it opening the door revealing Ava
"What ya doing here"
"I'm not in the mood right now August just let me get Ashleigh so we can go I have to go somewhere"
"Where you taking our child"
She sighed
"Can I just get Ashleigh damn I'm going to be late"
"She not going nowhere until you tell me where y'all going"
"You all of a sudden concerned about her if I didn't tell you about her when I met you at that interview you still would be walking around here without knowing you have a child out here I should've kept my mouth shut and all this mess wouldn't have started we were just fine without you and we will be afterwards"
Chris walked over to us
"Aye man just give her the baby"
I chuckled bitterly
"So that's how you feel Ava, here get her call me only concerning Ashleigh"
"Fine"
she got Ashleigh and her things and left, I slammed my door and stormed upstairs I can't believe her ass like that's my daughter too

Ava's POV
After leaving August house I went over my aunts house I pulled in her driveway and got me and Ashleigh's stuff out my car I knocked on the door to only see my annoying ass cousin
"The big devil and the little devil"
I rolled my eyes at him and flicked him off
"Keep on them big ass eyes going to get stuck"
Not in the mood for him I asked him where my aunt was at
"She went to the store she told me y'all would be staying here for a while so she told me to show where y'all would be sleeping"
He showed me where we would be sleeping it's nice sized for me and Ashleigh
"Come help me get Ashleigh's stuff out the trunk of my car?"
"Come on"
Ashleigh was already sleep so I laid her down in the middle of the bed and went to my car with my cousin
After getting everything situated
"Thanks Mally"*thats his nickname*
"Don't call me that bullshit"
I laughed my aunt walked in on us
"Boy don't be cussing in my house like that"
She slapped the back of his neck, which caused me to laugh harder the fun had to stop when Ashleigh started crying
"Uh oh the little devil up"
"Don't talk about ,y sweetheart like that"
My aunt had Ashleigh in her arms while Ashleigh was sucking on her fingers
"Ava you still have to tell me what's going on with you and August"
I sighed knowing that was coming
"Okay Mally can you watch Ashleigh for a little while"
I stood up while my aunt gave Mally Ashleigh we walked in her bedroom she closed her door sitting on the bed next to me waiting on me to tell her everything
"Okay so I guess August ex posted something about how Ashleigh isn't his and I need to tell the truth about who my baby daddy is and all that extra stuff so the next day he wanted to take us to the park while we were getting out she popped out of nowhere August said Amber that's all I needed was that it was her so I blacked out on her"
My aunt shook her head
"Ava-
"Ava ya baby daddy here"
I ran to the front door and there stood August holding Ashleigh
"What are you doing here"
"We need to talk"
"Okay can y'all keep Ashleigh for a while"
"No problem go on ahead"
I smiled
"Okay"
We went to his car we both got in and drove off to his house
