RWBY - New horizons (Inconsistent Updates)

chapter 1: welcome to beacon!

3rd person p.o.v.

Damon, Morgiana and Rowena sauntered  off the ship as Victor bolted off and away from his mother, who had come to greet him. And greeting roughly translated into crushing the air out of him with a hug her sister would be proud of. He bolted off in a shower of black rose petals, his mom in hot pursuit. Damon smiled, and said," come on, fellas. The amphitheatre is this way-" all Victor yelled was," outta the way!" Before he ran into Damon, knocking him to the ground. Damon groaned, and said," anybody get the license plate of the truck that hit me?" Victor said," i'll tell you when the world stops spinning-" Suddenly, Victor was enveloped in a bone-crushing hug as his mom caught up to him. As Victor was almost literally having the life squeezed out of him, Damon laughed, and said," ah, the memories come rushing back-" as soon as he said that," ruby said," Damon?" And proceeded to squeeze HIM in a near-lethal bear hug, saying," ohmygosh, look how much you've GROWN! You used to be such a pipsqueak, now you're tall and strong like an ox!" As Damon tried unsuccessfully to pry himself out of her grip, Victor laughed gloatingly, saying, "karma' s a bitch, ain't she?" Suddenly he froze as someone behind him said," and what have I told you about using that language, my son?" Victor turned around to look at the irate form of Oscar pine, headmaster of beacon academy and his father, and gulped audibly, stuttering out," n-not to d-do it?" Professor Pine said," yes, now what do you have to do?" Victor said,"but, dad, that's child-" Professor Pine held out his hand, and said," 20 lien. NOW." Victor sighed, pulled out his wallet, and forked over the 20 lien. Professor Line said," thank you. As you were. Oh, and Ruby, let go of Mr.Forge, would You? You're asphyxiating him." Ruby said," huh?" Victor said," you're choking him." She looked at the semi-conscious form of Damon, and let him go, profusely apologizing. Damon gasped out," it's ok...just...gimme a minute..."

Amphitheatre
3rd person p.o.v.

Damon, Rowena, Morgiana, and Victor found seats in the amphitheatre just as Professor Pine walked onstage. He said," I'll try to keep this brief, as i'm sure that some of you would rather be anywhere but here, listening to me speak. You all came here in search of greater knowledge. Some of you came from rich families, some came from backgrounds like me, a simple farm boy who initially had no knowledge of how to fight, much less teach others how to do so. But here I am now, a shining example of what you can do. But the watchword here is YOU. YOU have to make the first move, YOU have to make the conscious decision to want to improve, to want to learn. Me and the rest of the staff can only guide you. We cannot choose for you. That is all." We all applauded, and professor ruby said," You will all gather in the ballroom. Tomorrow is your initiation. Get a good night's rest.  You'll need it."

Ballroom
3rd person p.o.v.

Victor dragged his sleeping bag over to where Damon had placed his. To his surprise, Damon wasn't there. But Morgiana and Rowena were. Morgiana kept blushing and shaking  her head at whatever it was Rowena was saying, while Rowena smirked as she kept saying something. As Victor grew closer, Rowena said," why not just admit it, Morgiana, You like Damon. As in, you'd go on a date with him." Morgiana said," n-no, that's not- I mean, i would, but-" Victor said," then why not tell him how you feel? He seems to like you." Morgiana said," that's the thing, Victor. He likes me. He doesn't love me." Victor said, "well, You won't know for sure unless you ask him. And I know Damon. He'll want to know if you love-" he was interrupted by Damon saying," I'll want to know if she loves what?" Morgiana hurriedly said," Nothing. Nothing at all." Damon stared at her, clearly not buying it, and said,"...ok. now we need to get some sleep. Good night." He got three muttered responses, and just before he fell asleep, he heard Morgiana say," if only you knew, Damon...if only you felt the same."

All right, next chapter will be the initiation. Sadly, I have to split it into two parts. But the good side of this is, that means an extra update for you guys. Since I'm on a roll, I might just keep updating until I run out of ideas. But don't expect this all the time. I'm a  business major, and I'm looking for jobs so I can pay for gas for my gas-guzzling truck, so I don't have a lot of time during the week. Weekends will most likely be update points. Like I said, I will try to update at least once every two weeks, but come thanksgiving break, I may not update at all because I never see my relatives since they live out of state, and I'd like to spend some quality time with them. But I digress. Until next time!
