Family Emblems (Part 2)
That day, I held the letter in my hand, tears came to my now stinging eyes. Suddenly I had no control over my emotions, I couldn't hold it in anymore. For all these years, whenever I asked mother about him, she never replied, now suddenly she is giving me a gift from him?
"Why?" was all I asked her after reading the letter.
"Why? Because your father made me promise to give this to you on your tenth birthday, if something were to happen to him". She bluntly stated.
"But all these years!" I exclaimed.
She completely ignored my statement, flipped her dark brown hair over her broad shoulders and turned and walked away with ignorance in her every move.
I know it wasn't right to say this about the woman who brought me into this world, sheltered me and fed me but I literally "HATED" her, with a passion.
I rolled my eyes and lifted my chin in absolute disgust. Thats right, she disgusted me, I mean you know what its like to have to live evryday of your life with someone like that. Ughh....
Anyway.......
I put the letter back into tbe box, and placed the medallion around my neck.
I was in the study when it all happened, I turned around and walked towards the arched doorway, I came to corridor and took a right, my room was at the end of the hallway.I exited the study and headed straight for my room. Once there I shut the door, and made my way over to my bed. The letter was still in my hand, at the moment, I honestly didnt know how to feel, getting a letter from my father saying that I his successor, I mean, no offence father but you didn't exactly have much and then the medallion which he insists I never remove?
Endless questions flowed through my mind. That day I had spent the rest of my afternoon locked up in my room, I didn't exactly want to see my friends, I just thought about my father, I wished that he was still here...
Until next time...
-AOkay so this was just a flashback that she was having while she was making her way back to her house.
