Chapter 5

(Y/N) P.O.V
As we discussed Jake met me at my locker while I was exchanging books for next period.
"You have five minutes" I said
"Ok I'll make it fast, (Y/N) I screwed up"
"No!" I gasped
"No I mean it and not just with what happened this summer but everything since then, I've been too busy trying to explain myself that I never got a chance to fully apologize. I'm sorry (Y/N) I cared about you, you didn't deserve what I did and I hope that Jughead treats you better"

"He does" I replied sharply
"Awesome so how about we all hang out? You always talked about this place I want to get the full riverdale experience" I burst out laughing but Jake kept a straight face
"Oh your serious, you actually want to hang out with my and my friends?"
"Yes"
"Why?" I asked confused
"Because before all this stuff went down we were pretty good friends and I hope we can get back to that, I know it won't be easy but I was thinking you could give me a chance. I was thinking meeting your friends officially would be the best place to start" I sighed

"Give me time to think?"
"Of course" I closed the door
"I'll give you my answer tomorrow and with that I walked down the hall to my next class. I sighed then sat down Veronica must have herd me because she turned around and asked
"What's wrong?" I debated not telling her but a second opinion would be nice plus if I do say yes I'll have to tell her something anyway.

"So Jake wanted to talk to me"
"Why? What about? You said yes right?"
"Yeah we just talked by my locker, he said he wants to be friends again and wants to hang out with us"
"What did you say?" Veronica asked fully intrigued
"Well first I laughed thinking he was joking then I told him I would think about it"
"Well are you gonna say yes?" For the first time I really thought about it, would I? I mean it's not like we're strangers it's just that Jake hasn't been the nicest since coming here and I don't want this alliance or friendship or whatever it is me saying yeah I forgive you for all the shit you've done.

"I don't know" I admitted "I mean does he really deserve it?"
"In my opinion no you should leave that boy out in the sun to dry alone but it also seems interesting I mean think about it, he's radio silent for months then all of a sudden he speaks up? Also that doesn't even begin to cover the mystery of Jake his whole return is a mystery."
"True" I agreed leaning back at this point Veronica had turned around so she could talk to me comfortably

"I think you should find out what his ulterior motive is, investigate, insert secret agent (Y/N) style."
"I do love a good mystery" I said smiling
"There you go, well talk to everyone else later but for now this is our secret" I nodded
"Thanks Veronica"
"No problem I just can't wait to see what Jughead thinks chaos will happen I can already see it." oh no she's right
