The rest of the day I couldn't focus on anything other the what Jake said I sighed should I really give him a second chance? At the very least I want to find out what he's planning and the only way to do that is to get closer to him. They say keep your friends close and your enemies closer, with that I walked to Jakes locker at the end of the day.
"Fine you win, let's be friends again" he smiled and shut his door
"Great"
"But we are starting over" Jake nodded
"Come with me to Pops I normally hang out with Jughead Archie Betty and Veronica there most days" Jake nodded
"See you there then"
"Great" I turned around and started walking away to meet up with Jughead there was a feeling in the pit of my stomach telling me that I just made a huge mistake I ignored it for now.
As usual I met Jughead at his locker and the two of us walked to Pops with everyone else only this time I laced my hands though his and said
"Hey I need to talk to you about something" I looked at the rest of the group "all of you actually"
"Sure (Y/N) what is it?" Betty asked and I took a deep breath
"Jake has asked to be friends again"
"WHAT?" Everyone said
"After what he did to you?" Jughead asked
"Why would you even think about going near that asshole?" Veronica asked
"Look guys I don't expect you to get it even I don't 100% trust him but I'm tired of fighting, it's not going anywhere and it's just making things worse I think it's time to lay down our weapons and possibly make peace besides I knew Jake before, the Jake that we've seen so far isn't the guy I knew and yeah maybe he's changed but if that's the case then I want to know why"
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" Jughead said and I nodded
"Exactly so please just go along with it"everyone looked at each other like they were having a conversation telepathically before agreeing. I smiled and we continued and eventually arrived at Pops when we sat down the door rang and we all turned to see Jake walking though the door, once he saw us he smiled and waved to us sitting in our booth. Everyone gave sort of a half smiled and waved back, Jake smiled and walked towards us
"Hey guys how are you doing?" He asked everyone gave a mumble of "all right" before Betty said "hey Jake would you like to sit?" I nodded "Yeah I can move down a bit" me and Jughead moved down so Jake could sit on the other side of me. He fit in easily enough once he launched into a conversation with Archie about sports I took a deep breath and joined in a separate conversation with Betty while Jughead had his arm draped around my shoulders and joined the conversation with Archie.
Eventually Jughead sat up to order something to eat
"Jake would you like to join us a little longer?" Veronica asked
"Would love to but I got a bunch of homework but I'll talk to you guys later" Jake said we all nodded and both him and Jughead sat up I scooted out of the way so Jughead could get though and watched them both head to the counter while exchanging a few worlds it seemed them Jake headed towards the exit. I smiled
"They seem to be getting along" I said
"Maybe" Archie said not entirely convinced
"Something on your mind?" I asked Archie shrugged
"It's nothing it's not even my place but I don't think Jughead trusts him, not even out of jealousy or maybe it is but trust me" I sighed
"I do trust you Archie I just wish Jughead would trust me"
"Hey it's not you Jughead is just being all alpha dog about it, protecting you is high on his list" Veronica added and I nodded wanting to believe it.
Jugheads P.O.V
When me and Jake walked to the counter to order I was looking though the menu when Jake said
"I still love her" I looked at him
"What"
"You heard me" he said with a stupid smirk
"This isn't a joke your telling me you still love (Y/N)"
"Yep, I was a idiot for cheating on her and want to win her back and to do that I have to show her that I still care even if it means hanging out with you guys"
"What makes you think (Y/N) will go back with you?" I asked glaring at him
"Oh you'll see eventually she'll see, you see Jughead you may have won her over and admittedly known her better but their is still that time where she was with me and not you and I plan on using that to my advantage" with that he smiled and walked out of Pops. Damn it too good to be true
So tired how this came out with most of the words looking right no idea
