Chapter 8- Tylar
Tylar and Sorren made their way to the light training center to get Tylar suited up to learn how to harness his powers.
"I look ridiculous!" complained Tylar.
"Better get used to it," Sorren plainly stated "because your going to be wearing this stuff for a while before you have your powers under control."
"And how long will that take?"
"That depends how much effort you put into practicing. Now we can start some basic drills; put one hand into the light."
"Ok, now what?"
"Clear your mind and concentrate on the light in your hand. This arena may be old and a little dusty but try to focus the light so it bounces off that mirror over there." Sorren said as a starter pointing at the mirror in the west corner of the room.
"Hold your hands flatter, like the light will shoot out of your finger tips." Sorren suggested.
Tylar did so and a small amount of light came out of his pointer finger and bounced off the mirror.
"I did it!" Tylar announced happily.
"You still have much to learn Tylar. Don't get yourself excited over the smallest of things, it will distract you." Sorren scolded him firmly.
"Keep going until it takes the least about of concentration possible then we will move on."
Sorren sat down on a stump of a old chopped down tree nearby and watched Tylar work out if the corner of his eye. He watched the campers walk by doing their daily routines.
Thirty minutes later...
"I think I go it!" Tylar exclaimed
"Show me."
A second later light comes shooting out of Tyler's fingertips and hits the mirror.
"Good. Now try bouncing it off that mirror in the east corner. It should redirect to the mirror your standing in front of. Go practice that now."
As Tylar was practicing Acerie came to the training arena.
"It is time for dinner Sorren." she said watching Tylar. "I will announce his arrival to the camp before we eat."
"Ok, I'll tell him it's time to go. I'll help him get fixed up."
"Thank you Sorren."
