Aisha has been doing a lot better than I expected.
She and I decided to come check up on Humaira and Ammi, it's been a while since we saw them and honestly I wouldn't want Ammi to start blaming Aisha for it, I know she could."You're both looking plump and fresh, that nice" she turns to Aisha "Yoy must be taking care of him really well"
She blushes "I try my best"
"Come on, give yourself credit" Ammi says back."Yeah, they must really be in love" Humaira says smiling at us both.
"Don't you have books to read? You're starting your final exams next week Thursday, right?"She looks at me surprised "How did you know?"
"I know you a little too well Humaira so I always keep tabs on anything related to school""Hmm—" Ammi starts, something she does when she's about to complain "This girl has barely read even a note, all she's been doing is chatting, talking on her phone and watching movies on her laptop like her life depends on it. She's even more troublesome than you were"
I turn to Humaira who was trying to avoid my gaze, looking so guilty.
"So? What about the study groups you told me about? It was a lie"She shakes her head "Not really"
"Another lie"I huff.
"We'll excuse you" I tell Ammi and Aisha "We'll just talk outside. You two can continue without me""Of course" Ammi says smiling brightly.

It's already 5pm.
We got home an hour ago because Aisha had to cook and I need to start preparing for work as tomorrow is a Monday.I took my bath and wore my grey sweatshirt and sweatpants. I went to the living room to watch, to kill time while I was waiting for Maghreb prayer to be called. Aisha had been cooking since she came back.
I went to help her when I finished but she kicked me out saying I'd start smelling like the kitchen and disturb the people in the mosque which was true.
"You haven't watched Lord Of The Rings?" She asks sitting next to me.
"I did. It's the series"
"Is it the same story line?"
I shake my head "Completely different".She smiles "Well, dinner is done. I think you should eat now since you're staying for Wa'azi so you won't be back until after Isha'i".
I nod "Seems like a plan"The door bell rings and I couldn't help but groan.
"Why do I take your food upstairs, I'll take care of the guest"."Did you serve the food already?"
She nods.
"I'll get it myself"I hurry to the kitchen and then straight upstairs. I was really hungry.
Third Person POV.
"I'm coming" she shouts.
Aisha quickly gets her veil and made her way to the door.Whoever it was, they were getting impatient and it was annoying her by the second.
She opens the door and stared at her guest in shock."Umar?" She calls out.
He smiles, obviously a fake one "I came to see my dear cousin"She fakes a smile "That's nice but you didn't tell me you were coming. I am busy at the moment"
His smile disappears.
"Husband duties I guess" He smiles devilishly "It could have been me. I'm sure you would have loved that"."Yes husband duties" she says ignoring his earlier statement "Are you here to say all that or not, so I'd know if I should just close my door".
He raises his hand in surrender "Getting a little fiesta now. My bad" he smiles.
She walks in leaving the door open for him to enter.
He follows her to the kitchen.
"You've really changed a lot Ayeesha".
She set up a tray of food for him with a bottle of water and a cold drink. She walks out of the kitchen and keeps it on the dinning table."Please eat" she says tired of hearing what he was saying.
He sits and starts eating "You've always been a great cook".He looks at her, from head to toe.
"It doesn't seem like what you're wearing belongs to you"She looks at herself. She's wearing her yoga pants and Abdul's black shirt, it was big on him so it was enormous on her.
She nods."I can guess what you were busy with"
"You can, I just couldn't careless Umar, I really couldn't".Her comment annoyed him.
No, her attitude since he arrived pissed him off."Umar, what a pleasant surprise" Abdulrazaq says as he stood behind Aisha.
"Ready for the mosque?" She asks."Almost. Have you seen my favorite jeans, it's not in my wardrobe".
"Yeah it's in the laundry, it hasn't been ironed though". He turns to Umar "Are you coming along?"Aisha excuses herself.
Umar gulps down the water in his glass.
"Yeah, there's nothing like bonding through the act of worship, right?" He asks smiling. She comes back seconds later with Abdulrazaq's jeans.
"Thanks" he smiles and enters the guest room to put it on.
"We'll get going, make sure you lock the door".
She nods "be safe"
He smiles "We will"Umar smiles at her "And next time please make me that tea you used to, your husband can't be the only one enjoying himself" he jokes.
She says nothing.
After walking out of the gate, Abdulrazaq stands infront of Umar, blocking his way with a scowl on his face."Don't ever talk my wife like that. You have no right to and I don't like it. If you're not going to talk to her with respect then don't talk don't talk to her at all, I'm warning you"
Umar was getting uncomfortable "It was just a joke"
"Not to me""Fine, I won't but she's my sister too"
He tilts his head "I don't care" he walks ahead.
After a few seconds Umar follows suit.Aisha was more than tired of Umar.
Her use for him because invalid a long time ago.
She doesn't like thinking about it because she sacrificed a lot not for him but for someone else and now everything is but a memory. But is it?
She's scared her past will come up to her really soon and she's not sure she can handle and face it just yet.::
