Ammi huffs sadly.
"Yeah I know, I went out. Do you remember Lantana? My college friend?" She asks me.
I nod "I think so"

She huffs again "Her first child just gave birth I went to congratulate her"

I see where this is going.
She's about to guilt trip Aisha and I but I'm not falling for it.

"Oh, that's nice. Children are blessings" Aisha says trapping herself and I immediately felt bad for her.

"Exactly. I said the same thing but—" she trails off.
"But what Ammi?"

She huffs "But I wonder when I'll see mine"
Aisha looks at me, finally realizing what was going on. I smile and turn my head away, it's between them.

"Uh—it's just not a good time"
"Why? You said children are blessings. Don't you want blessings in your life?"

She smiles awkwardly "We do"
"Then make this poor old woman happy and give her a grandchild. It's been 8months already and I just can't stay silent anymore"

Aisha smiles.
"Ammi, we will in due time"

She hisses "You?! I'm tired of talking to you about the same thing so I won't talk to you about it".
I nod "Okay, as soon as I'm done with this project, I promise we'll start working on it"

She raises her eyebrows "And I'm supposed to trust you?"
"Please"

She huffs "Fine but you can't break your promise"
"I know".

Aisha just keeps glaring at me but at least I saved her, I know my mother and I know she would have cornered her into it.

Aisha's POV.

"Seriously?" I ask him the moment we got in the car.
"I told you I had it covered"
"Your project will be done by ending next month. What would we say then?"

"Then we can have a child, right?"
I look at him confused, he was the one who suggested having children until at least a year after our marriage.
"You think our relationship is ready for that commitment?" I ask.

"Yes unless if there's a reason you don't want us to".
"No. I just wanted to make sure it's not because our parents told us to".

"Look, Aisha the moment I'm done with this project I'll just be focused on the hospital, you and our child".

I smile excitedly.
It kinda bummed me out that we'd have to leave having children until a year later but I agreed so it's good news to know I don't have to wait four or five more months.

"You seem excited. Didn't you think I'd want it?" He asks.
"Nah" I honestly didn't.
He smiles.

"I'm full of surprises".

Everything was all lovey dovey until later at night when we started arguing about whose bed we'd sleep on.

"I prefer mine" he says entering his room.
"Mine is more comfortable" I say entering mine.

"Yes but mine is better" he says following me into my room.
"Abdul just sleep here" I say holding his arm.

"Aisha? That is not going to work".
"Abdul" I say pouting.

"I feel weird sleeping in a your room".
"How about you sleep here tonight then tomorrow we can sleep in your room? Please?"

"No"

"Okay" I say back.

"Why did you agree that fast?"

"Because you begged me".

"I'm sure it's because of another reason"

"It's fine if you want us to sleep in your room but your bedroom wallpaper really puts me off".

"After so many times we have had sex on my bed you're using my wallpaper as an excuse?"

"I'm just saying but if you agree to have a peaceful night then it's perfect"

"Fine. We'll sleep in your room"

"Left side or right side" I ask changing the topic.

"You can be really evil at times".
"Come on Abdul" I laugh. "Which side"

"On top" He replies back.

I sat across my brother and husband who seemed deep in conversation. The moment they started talking I just got out my phone.
Although I am curious what they're talking about, they seem so serious.

"Ayshatu?" Ya Ahmed calls me.
"Yes?"

"Do you mind if I steal him for a few hours?"
I wanted to ask where they were going but I know he'd just ignore my question.

"Sure, just be safe".
"Are you taking about your brother or your husband?" Abdul asks raising his eyebrows.
"Both"

"Are you eating dinner when you get back?" I ask Ya Ahmed while Abdulrazaq enters to get his folder.
"Nah, I'll just drop him off"

I nod.
"Lock the door" they chorus before walking out.

So I started cleaning. After cleaning I head to the kitchen to start making dinner.
Immediately they left I decided to start preparing dinner so I'd finish up early.

My phone rings and I immediately pick up.

"What's up Z?" I ask when I pick up the phone.
"Surviving" Zainab says back in a low tone.
"What happened?"

She huffs "Khalil and I had an argument"
"About what?"

"His sister sent me his baby pictures, I showed them to him. She started talking about how much he loved taking care of his baby sister, their last born. And then he brought up how much he wanted to have his own kids"

"So? How did that lead to a fight?"
She huffs again "He said he wants a lot of kids. Probably 6 or 7 and he wouldn't complain if he had more. So I might have openly declined and I told him that I wanted just one".

"Come on Z. You and I both know how much Khalil loves children, he's always talking about them and you also knew he wanted at least 6 even before your marriage so why are you changing your mind now?"

"Come on Aisha, he should think about my well being too. 6 kids? I'm not sure I can handle it".

"Did you tell him that?"
"No, I didn't. Then you should. Let him know how you really feel about it"

She huffs "You're right, I'll do that".
"Good. And make sure to call me when you do".

Khalil showed up pissed.
It didn't look like a planned visit as he was wearing a T-shirt and three quarter jeans.

I was worried because he looked really annoyed, which means Abdulrazaq is also most likely going to be pissed too.

And Abdul being pissed is not a sight I want to see again. And he usually just stays in his room until he's calm but that disturbs me even more.

"Are you serious?" I hear Abdulrazaq ask. I came to the dinning room pretending to look for something but I doubt they even noticed me.

"For real. It's a so lute madness"
Abdulrazaq growls angrily startling me.

"And it's him, isn't it?"
Khalil nods "Most likely"

"So what you're trying to say is that Faroukh is trying to sabotage our project?"
He nods.

I froze.
I didn't know what to do, it's all my fault.

"But I'm it going to let him, I'll take care of it".
"We need to do it as soon as possible.
