Right outside of the cave, a figure suddenly came and stood there, staring at the entrance, which was sealed off. They kept staring for a very long time, letting their black hair flow in the wind. But eventually, they vanished just as quickly as they had came.

                                                               5 Months Later.........

Roxanne quickly killed the monster and jumped back. Walter nodded approvingly. "Nice." He said. "That should be enough-"

Roxanne pointed to the bear monster as some kind of black mist came out of it. The bear suddenly got up and attacked them again. Walter and Roxanne quickly killed it once again.

"Jeez...What's going on?" Roxanne wondered. She poked the bear with her sword, assuming it was dead.

Walter shrugged. "Maybe the rumors about the monsters getting stronger is true. Everyone has been saying that black mist comes from the monsters and it attacks them once again...." He rubbed his chin.

Roxanne knelt down and began to examine the bear. "Well, it seems dead now." She commented. She stood up and turned her back to the bear. "We should get going and tell Alex."

Walter nodded and was just about to leave, but once Walter saw that black mist again, he gasped. "Roxanne! Behind you!"

Roxanne whipped around and slashed at the bear one last time. This time it was dead for sure.

Roxanne wiped sweat from her forehead before putting away her sword. "Whew! Maybe we should get going before that thing attacks us again."

"Agreed."

Hand in hand, the two of them left the woods and headed back to town.

 ---------------------------

Alex was waiting for them at tne entrance of town. When he saw them, he waved to them and they walked over to him. "So what's going on?" Alex asked them as he crossed his arms.

Roxanne squeezed Walter's hand even tighter. "The rumors are true." She affirmed. "We saw it ourselves; the black mist and everything. It almost killed me. And it seemed a bit stronger than before when it, 'came back to life.' "

Alex became serious to the situation. "Then no one can really leave town unless they have a weapon with them. I should tell the mayor that women and children are to stay within town."

"What should we do?" Walter asked.

"Why don't you get your troops to guard the town?" Alex suggested. "They can take turns or whatever you call it. You won't have to worry about the Red Soldiers either, i have been informed that Vaclav is currently in jail for his crimes, and his soldiers are in jail as well."

Walter gave him a smile of relief. "That's good. I was a bit worried that they would attack the town in the middle of the night, since my troops are living in town now. But yes, I will go do that right now." He gave Roxanne a quick kiss on her cheek before he ran off.

Roxanne smiled as Alex nudged her. "Your affections are growing."

Roxanne gave him a glare, but then giggled. "Yes, I know. It's just..." She grew a bit more serious now. "No one has ever loved me like he does, you know? He's happy. I'm happy...This is a big change for me."

Alex nodded, then turned away. "I know how you feel...I used to feel the exact same way...."

"You did?" Roxanne smiled. "With who?"

Alex suddenly lifted his head. "Oh uh, I gotta get to the mayor's house. I-I'll talk to you later Roxanne.

As he jogged away, Roxanne lifted an eyebrow and watched him go.
