Sorry if it's corny -____- I haven't typed in a while and I wanted to get this done.
It was the next morning, and everyone was still fast asleep. Xaden slept in the guest room instead of his own room because he wanted to be with Arian, so he slept in the bed next to hers.
When they all woke up, it was about 11:00 am, and they were all wondering where Roxanne and Walter were, because they weren't in the guest room.
"Eh, who cares? They'll show up eventually." Erik pointed out. "For now...Breakfast!"
Lia jumped into the air. "Woo-hoo!!!!" She grinned and high-fived Erik before they both ran out of the guest room and headed for the kitchen.
Xaden rolled his eyes, but he was smiling. "Yep. They will never change." He said. "Anyway, okay, we'll eat breakfast, then we'll get going. We still need to figure out why the monsters are growing stronger."
Alex nodded. "Agreed."
----------------------------------------------------------------I'm going to be lazy as usual and skip to when they leave
Xaden waved one last time at his mansion. His parents waved back, his mother leaning against Xaden's father's chest because she was upset that he had to leave. Ian was there as well, but he was much more calm than Xaden's mother.
Once they were finally out of sight, Xaden stopped waving and turned the right way around, his bright smile turning into a frown. Arian wrinkled her eyebrows, feeling sorry for him. She took his hand into her. "It's okay. We can visit them again sometime soon."
Xaden suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, shocking the others and making them stop as well. They all lifted an eyebrow, or gave him an confused look at him at he bowed his head. "What's wrong?" Lia asked.
Xaden shook his head. Arian jumped back all of the sudden, gasping. Roxanne jumped protectively in front of her. Xaden didn't seem to notice all the black mist coming from him, which was the reason for Arian's sudden movements. "Xaden! The black mist!" Roxanne tried pointing out to him.
Xaden sighed. "So? Does it matter? I just ditched my parents...I feel so horrible..."
"Xaden!" Arian exclaimed. She suddenly slapped her hand over her mouth when Xaden was swallowed by the mist.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xaden looked around. He was surrounded by Darkness. Nothing but Darkness. At first, he thought Roxanne was playing a trick on him or something, but when some shadow lady appeared in front of him, he recognized that this was the lady that Alex and Lia were talking about earlier. So this was it, huh?
"Child of man..." The woman said. Xaden shivered at her creepy voice. "Why are you hesitating? You should go back to your parents. They love you more than your friends do."
Xaden blinked. "I bet they do but-"
"So leave your friends. They don't want you anyway." The lady told him. "Your parents care more for you. Go back to them. Leave your pathetic friends."
Xaden stomped his foot. "I do love my parents, but I also love Arian! I can't leave her behind! She's my girlfriend!"
The lady laughed and then pointed to him. "You foolish child of man. You can either choose one, or the other. And of not, then...You should come with me, child. You surely belong with me." Xaden felt chills go down his spine some more as she took a step closer. "Yes, your parents love you. But if they did, they would of let you have your freedom. You wouldnt of had to run away. They do not truly love you."
