Chapter 3: New Job

"Good morning Skylar." Sir said.
"Good morning Sir and Ma'am." I respond.
"Will you ever say mom and dad?" Ma'am asks.
"When I go home." I answer. "When will that be."
"How many times do we have to tell you?" Sir asks in a irritated tone. "This is your home."
"My apologies for upsetting you." I say.
I fill up Eyes food bowl and get my breakfast. Once we have our food we wolfed down our food. Ma'am and Sir looked at me in shock.
"What is the hurry?" Ma'am asks.
"Can't it wait?" Sir asks. "You can eat like a civilized person."
"It's Eyes and I first day on the job." I tell them. "And we don't want to be late."
"Dogs don't have jobs." Sir says.
"My dog is a special dog." I tell him. "Can you give Eyes a brush while I take a shower Ma'am?"
"Of course." She says sweetly.
I hurry up stairs and take a shower. When I'm out in dressed I brush my teeth I grab a teeth cleaning bone for Eyes. I also put in her harness and leash.
"Do you want me to dive you?" Sir asks.
"Yes please." I answer.
We hop in the car and I tell him where to go. He wasn't so surprised when I told him that I was working as a animal trainer. He did tell me her thought I was going to fail and end up quieting or getting fired. Well he'll be proven wrong. I think I can handle training dogs. I'll even teach them to be bilingual like Eyes is.
"You're going to need all the luck you can get." Sir says with a laugh.
Eyes and I get out the car and enter the shelter. I go up to the guy at the front desk.
"Hello miss." he greets. "How may I help you and your dog."
"I'm Soo-Jung and this is Eyes." I say. "We're going to be the new dog trainers."
"Are you sure?" he asks. "We have the most untrainable dogs."
"Just tell me your name and where to go." I say.
His name is Jim and he shows me to the bosses office. He tells her who I am and then goes back to his post at the front desk.
"You're the third trainer this shelter has hired." She tells me as we walk to the room. "The the third one this week."
She shows me outside to a fenced in area and tells me she'll have Jim bring in the dogs and watch how I do. Before he even gets to the door I hear lots of barking. When he finally comes outside there is only 6 dogs. As he takes off their leashes the run around.
"You're my partner I this right?" I ask Eyes in Korean. She nods. "Can you go find a way to calm them?"
I walk over to Jim.
"Do you and your dog have like a secret language?" He asks.
"Eyes and I are bilingual." I answer. "Will you tell me the dogs names and breeds."
"They don't have names." He tells me. "But I can tell you the breeds."
"I thought there was more dogs." I say.
"These are the must untrainable ones." Jim tells me. "The rest have a different trainer."
All of the dogs are big breeds but they are still growing. The six dogs are a Tibetan Mastiff, St.Benard, Great Dane, Georgian Shepard, Pyrenean Mastiff, and a Caucasian Shepherd. Most of them were fighting or fighting over something and Eyes couldn't even try to get them to stop. I go up t other Caucasian Shepherd who is arguing with the Great Dane. I call over Jim.
"What are we supposed to do to get them to stop?" He asks. "Or are you going to admit that you can't do it."
"Just do what I do." I tell him. I push over the Great Dane who starts to growl at me but I start to rub his stomach. Then start cooing at him like he's a baby. "Who's a good boy? You are yes you are."
Jim just looks at me like I'm crazy. He's no help. When I'm done rubbing his stomach I say, "Can you sit for me please, Spots?" I ask sweetly and he does.
"Are you going to stand there and be useless or are you going to be useful and help?" I ask.
"I'll just watch." He tells me. "I don't want to be attacked."
After countless hours I manage to calm down the dogs. And I can only give and teach them names before my shift ends. I walk to the from so I can wait for Sir. Unluckily for me Jim decides to join.
"Do you think we should make nice with him?" I ask Eyes in Korean.
"Can you please speak English?" He asks.
"Why are you here waiting with me?" I ask in English.
"You actually did a good job." He tells me.
Sir pulled up in to the front and honked his horn.
"I'll see you later." I say gathering me and Eyes things. "Time to go Eyes."
We walk to the car. Eyes gets in the back seat as I put our stuff in the back seat. On the way home Sir asks me many questions but I stay silent. The only time I speak is when I talk to Eyes and that was in Korean. I'm still mad because they took me away from the ones I loved.

-TIME SKIP-

"How was your first day?" Ma'am asks.
"It was challenging but I know I'm going to be able to train them." I answer.
"What wrong honey?" Ma'am asks Sir.
"This girl is getting on my nerves." He grunts as he glares at me.
"Thank you for a lovely time." I say.
I wolf down the rest of my food and Eyes does the same. When I'm done I put my plate in the sink then go to my room. When I look at my phone I see I have a text from Unique. 'Hello Cotton Candy.' it read.
'Hello Unique' I text back.
'Is it time for you to go to bed?' He asks
'Yeah I have wanted to start making the videos tomorrow' I answer.
After reading that text he FaceTimes me. I gladly answer. Eyes hoped into bed with me and we talked about my day and his night. He did forget we are in different time zones. We talked for hours but I ended up falling asleep. I know it's only been a few weeks but I can't wait to see them again.
