Chapter 17: Christmas Special

"What are you ding here?" Geong-Min asks as I settle into my old room.
"The same thing you are." I answer. "Visiting for Christmas."
"Where did you go?" She asks.
"My birth parents came and took me to America." I answer. "And a lot has happened since then."
"I heard about Taehyung's proposal." She says nudging me. "Remember when you said that you were just friend."
"Yea, and we would be getting married if it weren't for Sir." I tell her.
"Well now isn't the time to worry about that." Geong-Min says. "There is a room full of people who love you so let's get back."
We went back downstair and some other members of the family stopped by. Some of them I've seen a few times while others I'm meeting for the first time. We made some food, sung songs, and opened gifts.
"Did you get anything?" Eun-Kyung, a little cousin that I just met, asks.
"I think I got the best gift of all." I answer.
"Where is it?" She ask looking around. "I don't see it."
"Well, I got to spend time with my family." I tell her. "I also got to meet more of my family."
"Come on guys we're taking a family pictures." NamNam calls.
When I settle between Geong-Min and NamJoon one of the uncles stopped everything.
"What's wrong?" Geong-Min asks the uncle.
"Are we sure she should be in the picture?" He asks referring to me. "She's just adopted, not blood."
"Well she's blood to us." Namjoon answers.
"Stop complaining and let the girl be in the picture." Grandpa says.
The camera was set up and everyone was smiling as we waited for the flash. Once pictures were done everyone sat around to eat dinner together. In the beginning not everyone considered me to be in the family they accepted me by the end of the day. Some were sad to leave especially when they found out that I was going home tonight. Though out the day I was able to get some video for the channel.

Everyone came with Namjoon and I to see me off.
"Are you sure that you have to go little sis?" Geong-Min asks me.
"Yea, they don't want me gone too long." I answer with a sad smile. "Trust me I wish I could stay."
"You know that we will always love you." Eomma says.
"I know Umma." I say pulling everyone in a group hug. "And I will always love you."
Soon my plane number is called and I have to go. When we released each other form the group hug I noticed that I wasn't the only one crying. Before I leave to get on the plane I give them one last wave. I wonder how long it will be until we all see each other again. Good thing that Geong-Min and I got each other's numbers so now we can talk. I'll also have to check up one Umma and Appa also. This was the best Christmas gift of all.
