Lumi POV

I woke up to two people bickering in my room. Making me sit up to the voices confused but when my eyes were fully open I realized who it was. Rain and Kaguya were arguing in my room.

"What the heck were you thinking, you knew she'd do something insane right." (Kaguya)

"I'm sorry I can't control a stubborn Abyssal completely especially one stupid enough to play God and do idiotic stuff. A minute of shut eye and bam she reincarnated you without caring what you had to say." (Rain)

"So from what your saying you hadn't had sleep in centuries due to a stupid friend who does things on a whim and eats other races as a delicacy." (Kaguya)

"Pretty much." (Rain)

"Then why don't you keep her on a leash." (Kaguya)

"One I'm not her lover, two I can't reign a person who thinks of other races as a delicacy, three I'm also a Phoenix even if I'm a royal. Now ask away what you'd like to know." (Rain)

"I've been wondering why I keep seeing you sometimes with a white priestess attire." (Kaguya)

"That's to differentiate class in or society as Phoenixes nobles wear black like you'd see in funeral." (Rain)

I stared at them stunned as they got along fine without mentioning Rain's friend. If under normal circumstances I'd think these two are friends if I didn't know any better. 

"We live on a floating island, elders have more authority than royals, we use a Shinto shrine. That's about it. Well the short version of it. Royal Phoenix are pure blooded Phoenix and anyone in the royal bloodline even if mixed are still royal bloodline they also have our ability to use past incarnations powers in our next lives as well as photographic memory so we remember everything that happened to us." (Rain) 

"Morning. Why are you both in my room." (Lumi) 

"I'm guarding you and as for she can explain." (Rain) 

"I'm Kaguya Rhime. The student council president yearly since the headmaster thought it a promblem to do the voting. Vice President is Jasmine Jade. I selected you as treasurer. Ah before I forget I'm only here until the princess graduates after all both of us is bounded here to this school so we'd need permission to leave. Or as you and the humans call it a contract without consent that makes us unable to move from this place." (Kaguya) 

I cringed at how smoothly she said that, if I were her I wouldn't want any of it. But she did sound very caring when she mentioned the princess of the beastmen. Though I'm not so sure about the princess coming here since the story didn't mention her until she's in the second part. Did things get derailed due to me and the heroine being reborn. 

(it's not derailed but they never covered the beastmen princess due to the fact that the second part uncovers her curse of why she's mute. She was born blind but was cursed by someone before she's born so she's also mute. Meaning they won't see any hint if they didn't look in her country.) 

"And why would you care about her." (Lumi) 

"She's like a daughter to me. I did raise her since she was 5 years old. Her older brother is such a dense idiot. He said not exactly a jerk but he's a thicker than skin deep and listens to rumors mad eyes by nobles and peasants. Which makes him jealous and envious of his sister being loved more by their mother. Well she is the only daughter after all." (Kaguya)
