Yellow flowers littering the path. From my childhood.

Above is a arch of golden leaves, held up by silver pillars the trunks of huge, grey trees. Gimli looks nervously around.

"Stay close, young hobbits they say a Sorceress lives in these woods. An elf-witch of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell," Gimli says wearily, rolling my eyes is response, trying to forget today's previous events, my steps light against the twig littered floor. Frodo hesitates "And are never seen again!" Gimli says in a twisted way.

"Mr. Frodo ?" Sam asks, he looks over to Frodo.

"Well, here's one dwarf she won't ensnare so easily. I have the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox!" Gimli says, leaning on a tree trunk, the group is surrounded by armed Lothlorien elves. My people.

Deadly arrows aimed at their heads. Haldir, the Elvish captain steps forward he looks towards Gimli with disdain.

"The dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark" Haldir says cockily, I snicker quietly in response.

"Haldir-o Lorien, mín tul-hi an cín help. Mín baur cín protection" 'Haldir of Lorien, we come here for your help. We need your protection.' Aragorn says, looking over to Haldir with a complient nod.

"Aragorn! These woods are perilous. We should go back" Gimli says worriedly.

"You have entered the realm of the Lady of the Wood. You cannot go back" Haldir said ominously, Haldir locks eyes with Frodo "Come, she is waiting"

"Manen was your few days ar me ?" 'How was your few days without me ?'I asked, shoving him in a playful way.

"Where tye reallime lende ? Ni hadn't noticed" 'Where you really gone ? I hadn't noticed' Haldir replies pushing back.

Haldir leads the us to the Hill Top. The rest of the group look with wonderment at the vista spread before them.

Several miles towards the South, a large hill rises out of the woods. Upon the hill rise many mighty Mallorn Trees, taller than any others. Nestled high in the crown of the mallorns is a beautiful city.

It gleams in the low rays of the late afternoon sun. Green, gold, and silver. To the east of Caras Galadhon, the Woods of Lorien run down the pale gleam of Anduin, the great river.

Beyond the River, the land appears flat and empty, formless and vague, until far away, it rises again like a dark and dreary wall. The sun that lies on Lothlorien has no power to enlighten the shadows that lie beyond.

Standing in Celeborn's chamber, the room and floor filled to the brim with soft light. The walls, shining green and silver, the roof illuminating gold, in its midst the trunk of the mighty Mallorn tree, now tapering toward its crown.

Celeborn steps forward to greet the guests. His hair long and silver, his face grave and beautiful, with no sign of age upon it. Next to him stands Galadriel, the Lady of the Elves. My mother figure.

She has hair of deep gold and timeless, unsurpassed beauty. Celeborn looks hard at Aragorn.

"Nine there are, yet ten there were set out from Rivendell. Tell me, where is Gandalf, for I much desire to speak with him" Celeborn says strongly, I lower my head, I know that, his eyes looking towards me.

Frodo looks at Galadriel, standing silently beside Celeborn.

"He has fallen into shadow," Galadriel says softly aloud. Galadriel looks to Aragorn.

"The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail, to the ruin of all..." She says, I raise my head, my face still like stone "Yet hope remains while the company is true," Galadriel says, her eyes settle on Sam.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled," She says in a motherly tone "Go now and rest for you are weary with sorrow and much toil," Galadriel's eyes turn to Frodo her voice fades. "Tonight you will sleep in peace" She finishes, I turn walking away.

"Meldamiriel wait símen ni méra ana quet-as tye" 'Meldamiriel wait here I wish to speak with you' Celeborn says, I look towards Legolas, he nods in response.

"Yes ontáro" 'Yes father' I say. Pausing, waiting for everyone to file out of the room.

"Mime hinya your hon na-lunga. As loss mal na-overcome estel ar mel" 'My child your heart is heavy. With loss but is overcome hope and love' Celeborn says, walking over to me cupping my hands with his.

"Yes ontáro ni have a longing an happiness, ni'm vamme tanca mime affections indóme n-returned" 'Yes father I have a longing for happiness, I'm not sure my affections will be returned' I sigh sadly.

"O nút-te indóme n-Tye are i fairest riel-esse sina nór" 'Of course they will be. You are the fairest maiden in this land.' Celeborn speaks, lightly stroking my cheek, placing a loving kiss on my forehead "Sí linne-Sér-tye'll maure strength mime-iel" 'Now go. Rest you'll need strength my daughter' Celeborn says finally, I curtsey leaving the room.

Hastily making my way to the stables to check on Nostariel. Hoping that she'd gotten home safely.
