Violet's POV

I've been miserable all day. Wilbur won't talk to me. We're still together but I don't know for how long. My heart has been hurting throughout the last class and it still is. I felt like crying in Language Arts but I held the tears back. Wilbur and I exchanged unintentional glances in the class, but I didn't talk to him. Now I'm outside the school waiting for my ride, deciding whether I should let myself cry or not, and suddenly Wilbur(of all people right now!) stood next to me and I guess we waited for our rides. It was really quiet and EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I hate that we can't talk to each other. I cross my arms over my chest and sigh. Soon Wilbur spoke up in a mumble, "I'm sorry." I didn't say anything at first. I say trying not to get teary eyed, "Me too. I don't like that we're fighting." Wilbur nodded, "Me either." It got quiet again.

"I'm sorry." I gave a little laugh, "You just said that." Wilbur rubbed his head, "I know, I just feel really bad for getting jealous and letting my pride get in the way of our relationship. I guess I shouldn't have accused you of liking Tony when you said you-." Suddenly someone grabbed my arm and I turned to see(OF ALL PEOPLE RIGHT NOW!!) Tony Rydinger. Why was he here?!?! I stumble out, stunned, "T-Tony? Wha..-?" He gave a shimmering smile that I didn't wanna see, "Wanna come to that dance with me?" I didn't say anything. I look at Wilbur and he looked fumed, "Wilbur I-!"

"I should've known. Have fun at your dance."

He started to walk off really fast. Stressed and guilty, I call out, "WILBUR!" I start to run to him but Tony is still holding my hand, he asks, "Who's that?" I turn to him and yell, "THAT IS MY BOYFRIEND!" I rip my hand out of his and race off towards Wilbur. I call to him but he doesn't turn back. I was desperate! Why didn't I say no to Tony in the first place? Now Wilbur thinks I told him to come here. I decided to force field Wilbur. I shoot out my hand and it created a force field in front of him. His body comes full force into it and he bounced backward with a groan, sounding like it hurt. I am next to him now and he was rubbing his face. I let my super powers come into use. I create a force field around us. No running away. I speak quietly trying to keep him calm, "Wilbur, let me explain." Well, Wilbur yelled, "He shows up here at school asking if he's taking you to "the dance". What the heck is that?" I was getting upset and angry, "You know why Wilbur! He still likes me."

"Yeah, and you like him too." I shook my head firmly, "No. I. Don't," I rub my head, "I can't believe he showed up here. I hate it!" Wilbur looked like he couldn't take it, "Why are you so upset about this? Don't you like Tony?" I flung my arms out, "No! I LOVE YOU, YOU IDIOT!" I close my eyes and start crying. I couldn't do this. If this was going to be me and Wilbur from now on, I couldn't do it. It was quiet other than my pathetic crying. To my surprise, I feel Wilbur's hand touch my chin and I stop crying. He lifts my chin up and our eyes meet and we stare for what it feels like a long time. He whispers still staring into my eyes, "I love you too, no matter if you like any other guys or not." That's when it finally happens. We both lean in and we kissed! Man, can you believe me if I say I didn't expect that! The tension was gone between us and the force field disappeared. We pulled away and we smiled at each other. I wiped the tears off my eyes. I let out a laugh, "Wow that was-." Suddenly, I heard a low grunt behind us. I turned around and I saw it was my parents and Wilbur's Parents. Oh no. I run towards the car and yell from it, "See ya Wilbur!" I shut the door and we drive off. I couldn't help but smile sitting my seat. Dash, being a pest, gives a devious grin, "Violet and Wilbur sitting in a tree." I roll my eyes, "Dad.." Dad looked through the mirror, "Yeah Dash..they were actually in a force field." They start laughing. And I yell, "Dad!" Mom shoved Dad in the arm, "Oh Bob, don't be so teasy to her." She turns to me, "I think it's cute she kissed her boyfriend. Was this your first kiss on the mouth?" As much as I hate my Mom saying it like that, I nod, "Yes, it actually is." Dash made a weird face, "Now you guys are going to be smooch buddies?" I groan and pull out my phone and see that Penny has been spamming me like crazy saying "CALL ME ITS IMPORTANT!!" I have no idea what she's happy about but I'm so hyped to tell her my exciting news, me and Wilbur are now ok and we're still going to Prom!!

I finally reach home and I race to my room as quick as I could. I sit on my bed and dial her number. It rings for a while and my excitement was overflowing! She finally answers with I think just as must excitement as I have, "Violet!"

"Penny!"

"I have something I can't wait to tell you about!!"

"Same. Let's say it at the same time!" We say 1, 2, 3 and say what we wanna say, "I'm going to the prom with (Hiro/Wilbur)!" I stop for a minute and think at first we said the same thing, and then I realized what she said and freak out!! She does as well and I think I MAY have been a little more thrilled, surprisingly! She sounded joyful, "I knew you guys would get along!" I was nodding even if she couldn't see me, "Yeah, but I can't believe PENNIRO is finally cannon! Like what took so long!" And she continued to say something with a bubble, "And I have something else." I realize I did as well, "Same, let's say it at the same time." We do the 1, 2, 3 and yell, "We kissed on the lips!!" That's when it was this FREAKY oh my gosh moment. We literally got what we hoped for AT THE SAME TIME. Freaking out once more, we were going through all this Prom stuff and saying we're going to get ready for Prom together. Everything is actually going well!!

Wilbur's POV

Flying in the time machine home gave me a extremely happy feeling and a I'm-in-trouble feeling. I look over in the front seat and hear my mom humming to a song. Did she notice the kiss? As if she read my mind she said, "I saw that kiss you had with your girlfriend." Dang it. I know she's gonna freak on me. She calmly said, "I'm not mad at you." Shocked, I'm relieved but unsure, "Really?" She laughed, "Of course. I kissed your father when I was 13. Don't you remember, Cornelius?" My dad laughed, "I could never forget it. I was working on a new lab project and you came in with your frogs all on you." My mom flung out her hand, "They were everywhere!" My dad nodded, "Yes, and I came down to help you pick them up and that's when you made your daring plan a reality and pecked me on the lips." My mother giggled at the wheel, "I had planned it for hours." I looked down embarrassed at my parents stories and smile sheepishly, "So you guys aren't mad? I'm not grounded?"My mom shook her head, "Of course not. You're still grounded from wrecking the kitchen, using the magic carpet when you were grounded that other time-." I felt exasperated, "That was months ago!" Then my Dad spoke, "Also for letting that bowler hat guy take the time machine and lying to the young me." Oh my gosh!

"You guys are living in the past! You guys have to forgive me sometime." My mom sighed, "We forgive you, but you're still grounded." How long can a guy be grounded!

When we reach home, I get a text from Violet. I look and see she says, "Talk to Hiro, he has something to tell you." What he had to tell me? What about what I have to tell him! So I head to my room and call Hiro. He answers right away, "Wilbur, dude! Something amazing happened after school!"

"No way something to me after school!"

"Lemme go first!!" I laughed a little, "Go ahead Hamada!" Hiro breathed in, "Ok, I asked..Penny to Prom and we're finally together!" Now that got me stunned!! "WHOOP WHOOP PENNIRO! Hiro! Me and Violet are not fighting anymore."

"Wow man, that's great." He stopped for a minute, "Oh wait I have something else." I thought for a second too and realize, "I do too." Without meaning to, we say, "We had a real kiss on the lips." We stopped. What the? Hiro said, "Wow. What a mighty coincidence."

Yes it is. I guess a group of friends can have great things happen to them at the same time.
