Frank didn't sleep at all that night.

He didn't know what happened. It seemed more like a nightmare than reality. But it happened, he couldn't deny it.

He wondered if Gerard was alright. His bedroom was right next to his, since they were all a band now they shared a house. He couldn't hear anything from his room.

Frank figured he was drawing. Gerard was an amazing artist, no one could deny it. He's only seen a few drawings, but the ones he saw were spectacular.

He didn't know if he should go check on him, or leave him alone to have some space.

Well, Gerard was his friend. He probably needed a friend right now.

Frank slowly got out of bed and walked to the door. He silently opened it and walked to Gerard's closed bedroom door. He grabbed the doorknob and turned it slowly.

He poked his head in the room. The room was pitch black. He reached his hand in and flicked on the light switch that was by the door.

Gerard wasn't in the room. Frank opened the door wider and stepped inside. The bed was messed up and there was papers all over the nightstand. He walked over to the nightstand and picked up a piece of the lined paper.

It was one of Gerard's drawings. It was just a picture of a vampire.

When did he draw this? Did he draw it tonight?

Frank heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw Gerard entering the room. Frank quickly put the picture down.

Gerard looked like a zombie. His face was white as snow and he had dark circles under his eyes. He looked like he was dying.

He gave Frank a confused look. "What are you doing in my room?" He demanded. Gerard turned off the light, and Frank found it a little weird.

"I was just coming to see if you were alright," Frank admitted.

"Did I give you any permission to come in here?" Gerard yelled.  Frank was surprised the rest of the band didn't wake up yet.

Frank tried running to the door, but Gerard closed it before he got to it. Frank backed up to the bed and looked for any item to protect himself. Gerard wasn't acting normally.

Frank noticed something. By the bed was a window with curtains. And curtains are held up by a metal rod.

Frank jumped on top of the bed and tried grabbing the metal rod. He finally grabbed it and jumped down, holding it as a baseball bat. He probably looked stupid, but he didn't care. He wished he was tall enough to actually reach up and grab it.

Gerard's face suddenly turned sad. He took a step forward and Frank held the rod tighter.

"Hey, stop. You don't need it. Put it down, please put it down," Gerard said quietly. Frank's grip loosened and then he finally dropped it.

"Come here. Don't be scared. Look at me, I'm safe and I'm warm."

Frank somehow felt attracted to him that instant. He didn't know what happened, he just felt possessed. He walked to Gerard. Gerard towered over him, but Frank stood in front of him.

Frank suddenly felt exhausted.

"Can I hold you?" Gerard whispered.

Gerard didn't know why he said it, it just slipped out. Did he regret asking? No. And Frank didn't regret replying "Yes."

They both walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge. Gerard on the right, Frank on the left. Gerard wrapped his arms around Frank.

"Thanks," He whispered.

Frank took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He felt comfortable.

"You can sleep now if you want, I'll keep my arms around you."

Frank nodded slowly, half asleep

"Put your head on my shoulder, it's okay. You're okay."

Frank obeyed and put his head on his shoulder, feeling an odd feeling of comfort. All the fear he felt earlier was gone.

"I'll never let them hurt you, I promise."

With those words, Frank fell asleep.
