Wednesday, 5:00pm
Chris threw the bowling bowl, but he only hit one pin. He bowled again, this time he hit two pins.
"wow, Mr Bang. what happened to all strikes, huh?" I laughed, making fun of him
"I'm just warming up" He said as he started stretching in the middle of the bowling alley.
I laughed and went up to take my shot. Surprisingly, I got a strike and we both started laughing, Chris looked defeated.
I ended up winning the game, which meant that I wouldn't stop making fun of him, and also, that he was buying the pizza.
"you're Korean, right? Aerin Moon?" He asked in the middle of stuffing his face with pizza.
"Partly, yeah. My dad was Korean, but it's a long story. I never met him." I said, trying not to put a downer on the mood.
"well, we've got time?"
"maybe another time."
"okay. Well, I'm fully Korean but I've never actually been there," he said, trying to bring the conversation back.
I've been, but not for long. We move around a lot. I've lived in Thailand, Scotland, Japan, Korea, and now here in Sydney."
"wow, that's so cool!" he exclaimed.
"yeah, I guess" I smiled.
"my Korean name is Bang Byungchan(방병찬), you can call me Chan if you like," he said, smiling down to me.
"Its almost time for the movie, you ready to go?" I nodded and we left the bowling alley and started walking.
