I take elevator down, every second feels like an hour. I stare up at the LED lights that are counting down every floor as I descend.
With a few floors left I decided to move my damp hair out the way by putting it up in a messy bun.

The elevator finally dings and opens, I sprint out the enclosed metal doors and out my apartment complex.

Peddling fast down the streets, wind slapping my face. My messy bun threatening to fall off from the force of the wind. I take the shortcut, passing the quarry.
I could feel my heart racing as I knew as was getting closer.

Finally arriving at Neibolt St. I put my foot down from the peddle, letting the friction from my boot and the concrete slow me down to a complete stop, stopping right in front of the Neibolt house, I could feel myself breathing heavy as my heart pumped faster.

"This is so stupid, I always seem to get into the weirdest situations" I said nervously.

{**I had to find out why this was happening to me. What made me so special.**}

I got off my bike and I let it drop to the ground gently. There I was, facing the roughed up house.
I took in a few deep inhales and exhales before gradually taking small steps towards the place.
I was mentally preparing myself for whatever I was going to see. For I knew there wouldn't be anything beautiful inside.

Arriving at the entrance, I hesitate a little to grab the door knob, before I could even touch it, the door swings open making a loud thud. I jolt and scream at the sudden movement. I step back a little and put my hand to my chest, feeling my heart punching from the inside.
I walk back up to the door and step in cautiously. I look around me in awe as I was being surrounded by old Victorian furniture, I step in further, still looking in shock. Everything was dusty and covered in cobwebs.

I continued up the stairs until I was met with a hallway. It was long and narrow with many doors on either side of it. I wasn't really sure where to go at first until a red balloon appeared at end of the long corridor.
I smiled slightly at the sight and ran towards it.

Not thinking.

Upon meeting the balloon I go out to grab it but it pops and disappears, just like a couple nights ago. I furrow my eyebrows and tilt my head in confusion.
I was distracted by this that I didn't realize where I was until reality sunk in.

I was standing in a small dim lit room full of aged run downed furniture.
Beyond the dim light was a well, and behind the well was a bunch of useless junk.

I tried to calm myself down by humming a lullaby my mother used to sing to me whenever I was afraid.

I hummed the nostalgic tune as I walked up to the well. Once reaching upon it I looked into the dark abyss, chills were sent down my spine as I felt cold air coming up from the pitch black pit. I hummed the tune a little louder as I felt a little fear from within me.
I looked down the well again to get a better look taking my body in a little further, losing contact of the floor.

My body was far enough in that I could smell the perfume of the circus.

"He's in there. But how am I going to get down?" I said while pushing my body back up letting my feet meet the floor again.

I backed up from the well and looked around for anything that could take me down safely. I searched through empty shelves and boxes. I searched everywhere within the room except behind the well.

"Worth the try" I said through a face of disgust.

I walk behind the well and kneel down, something dry and rough was rubbing on my almost healed knee, opening the wound again. I groan in pain and look down to see what it was.
