Test 2 - Patience

"Are you sure you'll be fine with the kids ?" Henry asks me for the fifth time.

"Yes, now go to work." I say, pushing him to the door. He stops me and I end up walking right into his chest.

"Well that wasn't nice." I say rubbing my forehead and he smiles at me.

"If you need me call me or call up Chloe. When I get there I'll text you the office phone number. Have a good day. I'll be back soon." Henry rushes out and I just roll my eyes.

"Kids ! Come say bye to your father !" I yell at them and just like that 3/4 of our children are present.

"Bye Daddy." Avan says ,"Come back soon, we need you for our cookies." He says and Henry laughs then hugs him.

"Bye Daddy." Ashton says and hugs him, he seems a little sad. I'll talk to him about that later.

"Bye, we better see you for dinner please." Aiden says and I bite my lip to keep from laughing.

"Alright Champ, I'll be back before then." They hug and Henry gets back up to his full height.

"Bye Hen." I say, he kisses my forehead making me smile.

"I'll be home soon Char, later." He assures me and then he leaves. I lock the door behind him and I turn to face my kids. They all look at me expectantly. I just smile and raise an eyebrow.

"Who wants to play superheroes !" I yell and they go crazy jumping up and down and yelling over each other.

"Ooo ooo can we do Avengers?!" Aiden asks and I nod my head.

"I wanna be Thor!" Avan yells.

"I wanna be Hulk!" Aiden yells.

"I wanna be Iron Man!" Ashton yells.

"Mommy can Aaron play too ? He can be Captain America !" I nod my head.

"Okay Mommy, you're be going to be Black Widow. When we yell assemble, that means we're going on a mission so be ready." Ashton says debriefing me. I nod my head.

"Got it, get in character, I'll go get Aaron." I say and they all start running around the living room. I walk to the kitchen to get Aaron who was playing with his toys.

"Hi bubs." I say and he looks up at me and smiles. He moves one of his hands and waves at me.

"Aw bubs do it again." I say and I pull out my phone and open it to my camera. I press record.

"Do it bubs." I say and he smiles again then starts waving. He starts talking and gibbering.

"That means I miss you, Daddy." I say and stop recording. I quickly send the video to Henry's phone knowing he probably hasn't gotten to work yet. I pick him up out of his high chair and take him to the living room where the rest of my kids are army crawling on the floor.

"Captain America and Black Widow reporting for duty." I say and all the kids crack up with laughter.

"Stay in character." Avan says causing them all to die down. "Hello Widow. We've been reading our file on this case. A man was tooked-"

"Taken" I correct Avan and he goes red.

"A man was taken, thank you Mommy, and he needs to go back home." Avan says.

"Okay, who's the man?" I ask.

"Daddy. The villain who kidnapped him was Loki." Avan reads off the "file" on the desk.

"How are we going to get him back ?" I ask and the boys all smile.

"Avengers Assemble !" They yell all at once, they get up and start randomly fighting some bad guys. Aaron and I help out a little. Captain American delivers a nice burp in someone's face while Hulk smashes some bad guys away. Thor punches a guy so far away he'll never come back and Iron Man just blasts the rest away while I make sure that they're all gone.
