Courtney was pretty average, average height, average hair, average family, everything was just about average.
Up until the day her parents start fighting in the middle of the night, constantly arguing about money, the children, their relationship.
Courtney, being only eight at the time, is overwhelmed by the sudden change in their happy, sunny family. She tried desperately to make her parents settle their arguments by coming in between them when things got dangerous, which worked for a while, but her parents resumed fighting, regardless of Courtney hearing the insults being thrown around, and eventually, her parents divorced.
Full of lonely nights and drunken parents, the divorce broke young Courtney. She grew cold and bitter, and nothing could thaw her frozen heart.
Now, at 18 years old, the bitterness still hadn't gone away, and Courtney decided to take a trip in the middle of the night, and meets the most peculiar boy, and they run away together to the most wonderful place.
