I watched outside the window as we pass by the Welcome to Beacon Hills sign. Letting out a sigh, I leaned back at my seat when I noticed my sister, Cora, glance at me.
"What?" I said, not taking my eyes off of the window.
"What do you mean what?" She asked me. I rolled my eyes before tearing my gaze away from the woods and looked at her.
"You kept on glancing at me and it's getting on my nerves." Cora rolled her eyes at my response.
"Well, your constant sighing is also getting on my nerves, so just tell me what's on your mind before I slam my head continuously on the wheel." She shot back.
I chuckled lightly and shook my head. "Oh Cora, always the dramatic one." Cora rolled her eyes again.
"Just tell me."
I pursed my lips and tore my gaze away from her and looked at the road before speaking. "It's just that, the last time we've been here in this town was..." I paused, not having the courage in me to say it.
"The fire, yeah I remember." She muttered, not taking her eyes off of the road. I nodded in agreement.
"I remember it like it was yesterday," I sighed, the images of the fire still clear.
"So do I." Cora said. "Let's just try to take our minds off of it. Besides, Derek's alive. That's all that matters right now."
I didn't say anything, probably because there was no way in hell I'll forget about that. But I agree with my sister. Our brother, whom we thought was dead, ended up surviving the fire and is now the Alpha. I wonder if anyone else survived the fire.
"Crap!" I heard Cora mutter. I looked at her curiously.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"Car's running out of gas." She replied, making me roll my eyes.
"Then go to a gas station." I said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"That's what I'm doing, smartass." She told me, rolling her eyes at me and driving towards the gas station. She turned the engine off and got out the car as I followed her.
"I'm gonna get us some snacks. Want anything?" I asked her. She shook her head before filling up the gas. I stepped inside the store and grabbed a few snacks. My eyes locked on the Skittles beside the counter as I went and grabbed one when I felt a presence beside me.
"You like Skittles huh?" I looked up at the person who had a cute smile on his face, brooding forehead and muscles and with dark eyes.
I let out a chuckle. "Love them." The man chuckled and looked at me. The tension became too awkward so I walked towards the cashier and paid for the snacks. I turned around and saw the guy nowhere in sight. The cashier handed me my change before I left the store and walked towards the car.
I brought out the packet of Skittles and looked at it. "Look they have Ski--" My eyes widened as I saw my sister on the ground, unconscious. I dropped the snacks I was holding and kneeled in front of her.
"Oh my god, oh my god. Cora, wake up!" I shook her body when I heard a voice behind me.
"You dropped this." I turned around and saw the guy I was talking earlier. His eyes suddenly glowed red, making my eyes widen and put my claws out.
He smirked at me before trying to grab me. I quickly dodged him and kicked him by his side, making him stumble.
My eyes glowed yellow as I let out a roar. "Not bad, for a little beta." He smirked when a man appeared beside him, or his twin to be specific. "But we're alphas, little Hale. You can't beat us." They let out a roar as they both grabbed me by the the arm, their sharp claws digging into my arms. One of them grabbed me by the head and repeatedly knocked my head at the floor, hard enough to make a crack at the floor.
One of them grabbed a pipe and stabbed it through my stomach, causing me to loose a lot of blood. I fell to the floor as I looked at them, suddenly feeling tired. They smirked at me before a man holding a cane approached us. He kneeled down at me, smirking before speaking, me suddenly seeing black spots as my eyes began to get heavier.
"Welcome back, young Hales. We're gonna have a lot of fun."
