Kurami and Sasuke didn't talk much after the massacre. Sasuke did panic and worry for her for days while she healed in the hospital. However as time progressed he began to think that she being a female would only be in his way of his revenge. Kurami never protested Sasuke's decisions and decided to watch him from afar. At a point in time after the massacre Itachi had paid a visit with Kurami in her new apartment. She was angry at him of course but didn't make him leave.

Itachi jumped into Kurami's opened window late in the night as she was just sitting on her bed. "You know. You shouldn't leave your windows open. Nor your guard down." Kurami glared at Itachi as she looked at him. "What the hell are you doing here? Your a rouge now. I don't think the village will take kindly to your presence." Itachi held up his hand. "I only came to talk." She nodded and pat next to her on her bed. He nodded and walked over sitting next to her. She looked at the floor as she listened to him. "Lady Uchiha. What are you going to do? Will you still follow my father's wish of a suitor in one of us? Or will you perhaps find someone else of your choosing now?" She sighed. "It was his wish even in death. I could see it in his eyes as he looked at me before you killed him. So I don't really have choice. I hope you don't mind Itachi." Itachi chuckled softly and kissed the top of her head. "I will wait for your decision. I understand what Shisui said to you but in all honesty I think Sasuke needs you more than I do." She nodded smiling softly. "Yes. That boy is falling. Even slipping out of my hands. I won't stop him if he pushes me away. You've chosen your path. He must choose his. I merely am just the side piece to help and guide you both in what you choose. Whether it be what anyone or us believes is right or not. He's already falling to be wrapped in to help Uchiha hatred. Madara was never fully consumed by it for the fact he had me." She frowned. "In the end. He loved me more than sibling bounds." Itachi's eyes widened. "What?" She nodded. "Yes. After Madara, Izuna, and I ran from the leaf and Hashirama. My brother Madara confessed to me. Well, Izuna had told me about it prior, but still. Evidently Madara had for some time had the infatuation. I never felt the same. My feelings never stepped over sibling bonds. However being the loving Sister I was and them being the only thing I had left. I had no choice but to accept his confession." Itachi looked at her sadly. "I'm sorry to hear that. Though. May I ask you a question?" She nodded in response. "It's said that you were no longer able to bear children. Has that been carried on to now as well?" He jumped to the side waving his hands around in front of himself. "I know it's a weird question!" He stopped his panic as she giggled at him and smiled. "No. You're right. I don't know that myself. It is a possibility." He frowned and nodded. He stood up and headed for the window. "I must leave now. I mustn't stay very long." She nodded. "Yes. Thank you Itachi. For everything." He gave her a small soft smile before taking off.

~Present~

She took Itachi's word in mind about the arranged marriage and wondered if she should truly tell Sasuke. Though the thought was dismissed by the sound of his hoard of fan girls. She never really liked them and always felt bad for him when he got caught up in them. She used to help him out of them. However once he started pushing her away she stopped and let him deal with it on his own. She met the nine tails jinjuriki in the off time as well. She had remembered Madara talking about taking control of the nine tails. She knew it was a powerful creature. However she didn't think taking over a creature was going to benefit or prove anything. Besides. She believed you had to create a bond with them to use them. Not take control. It just pisses them off and eventually turns them against you when their free. She had fun with the jinjuriki. However she didn't approve his pranks and was usually the one who caught him before the Jonin and Chunin found him. Though just gave him over to Iruka. On this day was the day of the exams. She looked over at Naruto and gave him a fierce look making Sasuke shiver looking at her. 'Man. I don't even remember her ever looking at me like that. I'm kinda proud.' She crossed her arm. "Don't forget what I taught you. Don't let my teachings be for naht." Sasuke looked at her confused. Naruto was a little confused by her wording but nodded anyway. He gave her a thumbs up smiling. "I'll pass this time for sure! Watch!" Names were called. Kurami went before Naruto and passed. She waited outside and watched Sasuke walk out with a headband. She bowed to him as he passed her. "Congratulations Sasuke. Your well on your way to becoming a strong shinobi." He smirked at her compliment. "Thanks. Though." He stopped and turned to her. "Why are you bowing?" She stood up and folded her hands over each other in her lap. "You still have potential of being head of the clan. You at the moment are the only one in the village so it is your place. I am merely an outsider." He frowned at her and gave a slight glare. "The clan is dead Kurami. There is no more successor." She frowned and shook her head slowly closing her eyes. "I'm sorry Sasuke, but that wasn't what your father asked of me. Even in death." He looked at her confused but before he could ask her she ran off to Naruto who walked out solemnly. She frowned at him and pulled him into her arms as a mother would. "It's alright Naruto. You can try again another time right? We'll work extra hard and beat even the strongest Chunin!" She smiled softly down at him as she was a bit taller than him. He was in shock and at a loss for words. He moved back and looked her in the eyes. "Kurami. Why are you crying?" Her eyes widened and she touched her cheek. Feeling the wet tears. She quickly wiped them away and smiled at him. "I don't know. Silly huh? Shall we go get Ramen?" He smiled brightly at that and started jumping around in cheer. Sasuke watched the whole exchange and was greatly confused himself. 'A person doesn't just start crying for no reason. Did something happen? I'm getting to distracted in all these mantras she's throwing. She's a figure of the future. She'll only be in my way. I need to go train.' Sasuke left and Kurami narrowed her eyes as Mizuki jumped out of a tree landing next to the two. "Kurami. May I borrow Naruto for a bit?" She looked at Naruto who smiled and nodded. She sighed and gave her concent.

She infuriated when she walked in the next day. She three the door open and took slow strides glaring at Naruto. He shrank in his seat next to Sasuke in fear. Even Sasuke was worried. Sasuke moved more towards the wall away from Naruto. Kurami slammed her fist into the desk shattering a hole in it in front of him. Sasuke jumped hitting the wall while Naruto inched back against the seat with his hands up. "I can't let my eyes off you for a kami dam second can I!? What the hell where you thinking!?" Naruto talked in a shaky voice. "L-Listen! I-I can explain!" She calmed herself herself down and sighed. "Well. At least you're alright. Just don't do it again. Understand me?" Naruto nodded quickly. She went over and sat by Naruto pulling him into an embrace. Naruto and Sasuke sat confused. "Hey Kurami? Why do you always treat me like I'm your son or something?" Her eyes widened and she moved away from Naruto rubbing the back of her neck laughing nervously. "I don't know. Womanly instinct?" Sasuke narrowed his eyes at her. Naruto nodded. "I guess. You do act older then us." She nodded and watched as girls began to swarm wanting Naruto's seat. She sighed but watched curiously as Naruto got in front of Sasuke and began a glaring contest. She blinked processing a bit before busting out laughing as Naruto and Sasuke lip locked by accident. The boys pulled away from each other trying to spit each other's germs out of their mouths. She looked over as the girls were getting ready to beat Naruto. She stood up crossing her arms glaring at them. "Take one more step and you'll be on the floor." They shivered backing away.

Everyone sat down as Iruka walked in and began announcing teams. "Team Seven. Sakura Haruno. Naruto Uzumaki." Sakura's head feel in dread as she spoke her doom while Naruto cheered. "Sasuke Uchiha." The roles switched. "Also, due to the numbers and Lord Hokage's request. Kurami Uchiha." She sat indifferent while Naruto cheered like he won the lottery. Sasuke sighed dropping his head and Sakura glared at her. Naruto instantly snapped out of his glory and pointed a finger at Sasuke. "Wait! Why does a great guy like me have to be with a slug like him!?" Iruka sighed in annoyance. "Because we had to put the best with the worst. Sasuke had the highest scores while you Naruto. Had the lowest." Naruto's brows frowned in frustration. "That isn't right! Sasuke couldn't be best! It has to be Kurami if not me!" Iruka sighed almost giving up. "Unfortunately Naruto Kurami only reached halfway to Sasuke. No one understands why. Care to explain Kurami?" She closed her eyes calmly. "It is no one's business what I do or not do." Iruka shook his head.

They sat in the room waiting for their Sensei when Naruto put up an eraser in the door jam. Kurami rose an eyebrow at him. Sakura began to chew him out but Kurami got up walking over to Naruto. Sasuke and Sakura looked at her confused. "No no no Naruto. You're doing it wrong." Kurami went behind Iruka's desk taking out plastic wrap. She opened the door wide enough to walk in and placed the wrap in the doorway. Naruto Burst out laughing. Kurami walked away from the door taking Naruto with her. They stood by waiting. They watched as their Sensei walked to the doorway and ran into the wrap getting his face caught in it. Kurami and Sakura giggled and Naruto burst out laughing while Sasuke was trying not to laugh. Their Sensei peeled off the wrap and looked at them with irritation. "My first impression of you all. I don't like you." Kurami snorted and smirked. "Party pooper." He sent a look at her before turning to the others. "Meet me on the roof." He was gone in a cloud of smoke. Naruto turned to her with a huge grin. "I never knew you could do jokes Kurami!" She shrugged her shoulders. "Just because I don't do something doesn't mean I can't." He nodded.

They all met on the roof and sat on the stairs. Their Sensei crossed his arms leaning against the railing looking down at them. "Alright. Let's start with introductions." Sakura blinked confused. "What should we say?" Naruto nodded in agreement. "Well, things like your name, likes, dislikes, hobbies, dreams for the future. Things like that." Naruto nodded crossing his arms. "Why don't you go first Sensei. Just to give an example." Sakura said. Their Sensei nodded and looked at the sky as he spoke. "My name is Kakashi Hatake. I like a few things. As for my dislikes. I don't feel like tell you. For my hobbies. Well I have lots of them." He gave a closed eye smile at the end. Sakura and Naruto complained that all he gave was his name. Kakashi turned to Naruto for his introduction first. Naruto pretty much just made a speach on ramen. Though his dream is to become the greatest Hokage. Sakura. All she did was squeal. If you even want to call it that. Sasuke's introduction was similar to Kakashi's however his dream was to restore his clan and "kill a certain someone" as he put it. Kakashi turned to Kurami last and she looked at him confused. "Me too?" He nodded. "You are a member of this team." She frowned and nodded. "Well, my name is Kurami Uchiha. My likes... Well, There gone. My dislikes. There gone too. My hobbies. I don't have any. As for my dream. It's dead." Sasuke looked at her puzzled and Naruto began over exaggerating crying as he latched onto her. Sakura was also confused but kept to herself. "Well you're all unique in you're own ways." Kurami only listened to what she believed to be important for tomorrow before getting up and leaving.
