After having watched Sasuke fight he was instantly taken to another room to have his mark sealed.

Kakashi sighed as he had just finished the seal. "You do know you won't be able to keep him under control even with a seal like that." Kakashi turned around getting into a defensive stance as Orochimaru walked into the room. "Stop right there! One more step and one of us dies!" Orochimaru chuckled at him. "Goodness Kakashi. You've grown haven't you?" Kakashi glared intensely at him. "What do you want with Sasuke?" Orochimaru hummed. "That is non of your concern is it? Though  he's more of a step down to my true goal now. He'll come to me when the time is right. As will my new possession." Kakashi narrowed his eye at him. "What do you mean by possession? Who else are you after?" Kakashi's eye widened in realization. "Kurami would never got to you by will! She's not that kind of person!" Orochimaru crossed his arms chuckling. "Is that what she goes by now? How interesting." Kakashi was put under more confusion but was left that way as Orochimaru left.

Kakashi returned as Kurami had fallen from an injury he didn't know what caused it though. Naruto was on the railing shouting his anger at her opponent. The mist ninja walked towards her ready to finish her but she pulled a blade out of the front of her shirt as she threw herself off the floor. She sliced the guy's arm deep enough it was no longer useful. He backed away crying out in pain as he held his bleeding arm. The proctor called the match naming Kurami as the winner. Kurami fell onto her back as she was on her knees. She closed her eyes as blood began to pool under her from a stab wound she had on her back and having been run through by the guy's water jutsu blade. Though the many deep cuts didn't help either. Kakashi jumped over the railing as did Naruto and rushed over to her. Kakashi called for a medic as he picked her up gently. The medics rushed over and took her from Kakashi rushing her off to the hospital.

Kurami awoke to her teammates being around her bed and her Sensei leaning against the wall of the room. She laid there still feeling the pain but looked at the three. "Kurami! You're awake!" Sakura hit Naruto for shouting but just yelled at him not making matters any better. "How are you feeling?" She looked at Kakashi and nodded. "I feel alright. I don't  think I'll be able to move for a few days though." Kakashi smiled at her. "I actually was let out before you. Amazing." She laughed at Sasuke's sarcasm but flinched at the pain in her abdomen. He sighed at her and scolded her for being careless. She sighed nodding in agreement. Kakashi watched all their interactions with a smile. Though he knew this moment would more than likely be brief.

The sky's darkened for night. It's been three days since Kurami's awakening. She sat up in her bed watching the clouds roll in over the dark night sky.

"It's good, yet not to see you once again Itachi." Itachi walked out of the shadows of the room to next to her bed where he sat down. "Hello Kurami." She looked at him and smiled softly but the smile was small. "What are you here for? To check up on Sasuke? He isn't here at the moment." Itachi frowned and placed a hand on her cheek. "You're cold Kurami." She looked away from him and he put his hand in his lap. "When I didn't find you in your home. I looked around a bit. I overheard your teammates speaking about you being here. So I thought I would come see you here." She nodded still not looking at him. "Kurami why?" His question was cut off as she began to speak. "I've been watching myself Itachi. My brother's jutsu does strange things. I'm supposing when I'm this injured I go into a death like state. So my body will heal itself better I suppose. That or it's just to prevent more injuries. Also at times like these if I pass out without my own free will, I go into a coma like state for a few days. That's why I'm cold to the touch." Itachi frowned at her, letting a small silence fall in the room for a bit. "How bad are your injuries?" She sighed and grabbed the blankets taking them off her. Itachi's eyes widened a bit seeing so many bandages. "You're stronger than most. How did anyone manage to do this?" She lowered her head a bit looking at her hands. "During the exam I had to use a lot of chakra. Let alone some Orochimaru guy showed up and attacked us. The amount of distress I had put upon myself during the second exam weakened me. I suppose too much. Also being the woman I am, always having to rely on my brothers to come save my ass. I can fight Itachi I swear it, but I will never be as strong as my brothers. Neither Madara nor Izuna." She closed her eyes tightly as she clenched her fists. "I couldn't even kill Hashirama for what he's done to me. Done to us. He even had the audacity to hunt us down and go for a straight attack as soon as he found us. I might have forgiven him had he come to talk, but that wasn't his intention. He gave up on us and shoved me to the side." A few tears had slipped during her rant and Itachi watched sadly as he listened to her. Once she was done he pulled her to him into his arms. She cried softly into his chest as he held her head against him. "He's long gone now Kurami. You have Sasuke and I now. We will take care of you. Your teammates and comrades as well. The Uchiha have become a greater clan over time since Madara's passing and your disappearance. The Uchiha have had time to make something of themselves." She slowly stopped crying and wiped the tears away. He lifted her chin to look at him and wiped her tears away with his thumb. "You can always come to me Kurami and you know it. Should something happen here come looking for me. I'll wait." She smiled softly at him and gave a small nod. He leaned down giving her a quick peck but she grabbed the front of his cloak and pulled him to her to keep the kiss longer. He didn't resist and rested a hand behind her head as he deepened the kiss. She let go of his cloak and he backed away breaking the kiss off. He got off the bed and stood next to it. "I must leave now." She nodded smiling softly. She watched him walk out the door and giggled behind her hand watching him walk so casually out the door.
