Driving home to Magnus' house. He was telling me about how he had been packing for days. To make sure he had remembered everyhing. It was adorable listening to him talking about these mundane daily things.

I was so relaxed and felt exhilarated about finally starting this weekend.

I waited in the car for him to get his things and when we got back to my house all the others were already there. They were packing Jace's dads van with all our things. I hurried up to get all my stuff and get my bow.
When I got down everyone was whispering but stopped when I got to the car.
I couldn't stop giggling about how silly they looked. I had figured out long ago that they were planning stuff in secret for my birthday, but I didn't mind. I knew they would only plan something I would like.

On the drive we all ended up playing; "What I spy with my little eye". It was so funny, because Jace kept spying stuff that was red (like Clary's hair). It was too easy to guess what he was thinking about.

I was so excited about arriving to this lodge. I was told we had booked seperate rooms for the girls and the boys. But when we got to the lodge I got one big surprice.
Everone had chipped in and they had booked this huge tree house. It was a real tree house - like 20 feet up in some huge oak trees. Is was beyond beautiful and it had huge windows and a porch out towards the lake and river and in the distance you could see the mountains.

I was speachless.

They all stood behind me and had these huge goofy grins on their faces when I turned around.

"You got this for me?"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they all screamed.

"Oh wow" I said while taking everything in. "You guys are the best."
I had to sit down. This was really extravagant. I couldn't belive my friends would do this for me.

"Are you ok?" Izzy came up to me.

"I'm ok Izz. It's just. I can't believe you did this just for me."

"Well, Mom and Dad pitched in a bit. But we all just wanted this trip to be very special for you and believe me, this isn't the last of this weekends surprices."

"But we have one thing we need to talk over and that's the sleeping arrangements." Jace commented.

"Yeah, we were thinking. There are 3 bedrooms in this house. The girls get one room and we 4 guys have to sleep in the other two. Would it be ok if Jace and I took one and you and Magnus shared the last one, Alec?" Simon continued.

I could feel my heart racing, but only Izzy could feel it because she was hugging me, while Simon was speaking. I would spend an entire weekend sleeping with Magnus. Well in the same room. This just kept getting better and better.

"Sure, that's no problem." I replied.

"Only if you don't snore." Magnus grinned at me.

"Hey! I don't snore." I giggled.

"Okay, then that's a deal. Let's unpack and get ready for our hike." Clary announced

We didn't have to unpack that much, because the house already had everything we needed to have a great weekend. But we unpacked some of our clothes and packed something in a few backpacks for our night at the meadow. Magnus and I would carry the backpacks with food, The girls our clothes and Simon and Jace the guitars.

Izzy had arranged for blankets, sleeping bags, firewood and so forth to be ready for as at the meadow. And the concierge told us we were really lucky, because tonight there would be a clear sky and a lot of shooting stars according to the weather forecast.

The hike was kind of rough. We had to walk through a pretty dark forrest and we all got a few scrapes from branched and Simon stumbled and hit his head on a tree. It was kind of funny and he didn't get hurt, okay his pride was hurt, but he would survive it.
I just had a really hard time and kept really close to Magnus all the time to make sure he was okay. He smiled thankfully at me a few times and I on more that one occation wanted to take his hand, to make sure he felt safe. But of course I didn't.

Magnus gasped and I turned around abruptly to make sure he was okay. But he was looking towards something.

"It's beautiful" he said with big eyes and a huge smile on his face.

I turned to look at what he could see and I had to give him right.

Between the trees you could now see the meadow.
It was a huge beautiful grassy meadow filled with white flowers and behind that the turquoiseriver was flowing. On the meadow there was this big white canopy and underneath was a big table set up with glasses, plates and everything for a fancy dinner. next to that a pretty big bonfire was set up, ready to be fired up and around that there were blankets and sleeping bags ready for the six of us.
It looked just as romantic as I could have wished for. Eventhough I had never told anyone.
Izzy had done well with all of this planning.

We all went to our spot on the meadow and just stood there for some minutes in silence and took it all in.

I could see everyone loved the idea about spending the night here. Simon and Jace were looking at Clary and Izzy with big goofy grins on their faces. They looked elated about the girls reaction to the romantic meadow.
This would almost be to easy, I thought and looked at Magnus. It startled me a bit that he was watching me, but smiled at him and he gave me a huge smile and a wink back. Our plan was working.

I hoped that mine would too............
