Chapter Nineteen

Queen Elsa

I can feel my blood run cold-well, colder- when Pitch encircles me like I am his prey. “My dear Elsa,” he says, smirking, showing me his sharp teeth. “Pitch,” I grind out. “You know, my offer still stands,” he starts, stopping just in front of me. The metal cuffs began to turn colder, the temperature starting to decrease drastically.

I am angry about Pitch, and how he still has the nerve to show up, devastated about Anna and how she hasn't gotten back yet, mad at Hans for teaming up with Pitch, and, I admit, scared for myself, because I don't know what I should do, what I could do, especially with these stupid metal cuffs encasing my cold, pale hands.

My only hope right now is Jack. Jack Frost. I don't necessarily need his help, because I know that if I try, I can break out of this prison and defeat Pitch, but I am so worn out. So tired, and everything has been happening so fast, it makes my head spin around. But I still hope for Jack, and I cling to this tiny sliver of hope to keep my sanity.

“What offer?” I spat out, “The one where I join you, then you'll stab me in the back once you have the chance?”

Pitch is an enemy, that much I know. My memories came in visions, and several of them showed me scenes where Pitch is leering at me, like he is doing to me now. I must not trust him. I should not listen to him, or even consider his ideas. I don't remember what he told me then, but I remember feeling so scared, so weak. I should not feel like that now. I have become stronger during my stay at my Ice Castle. I am not that weak girl anymore.

“Oh, dear Elsa, no. It isn't my intention to stab you in the back. I intend to keep you.” he says, his lips quirking up into a small smirk. As much as I wanted to stay impassive, to remain devoid of all emotion, I couldn't help but frown, ever so slightly at his remark. Keep me? What does he mean by that? Pitch must have seen the look of confusion etched on my face, because his smirk widens and he says, “You still haven't remembered, I see.”

“I remember enough to know that you're nothing but a lying, evil bastard who feeds on fear.”

“Yes. Well, I guess I can tell you again, my dear Elsa, though I admit, it gets annoying, telling you this over and over again. I want you, Elsa. Together, we can rule. You don't have to conceal anything, you can be free. Come with me, dear Elsa, and I can show you a world where you can do as you please, where we can rule side by side. I want you to be my Queen.”

“Save your breath Pitch. I'm never going to be your Queen. Never.” I spat out, emphasizing the word 'never'. He only smiles at me, making me grow even more confused.

“Yes, well, I knew you would say that. But I went this far, Elsa and I will not waste all my hard work, just because you said no. You will be my Queen, even if I have to take you by force.”

Fear seeps in to my heart when I hear his words. Take me by—?

“Hmm, yes. Fear. Go ahead, Elsa. Fear me.” he taunts, sniffing the air, “Your fear fuels me,” he says, walking around me, his eyes filled with malice.

No Elsa, I think, do not give him that satisfaction. You are not the same girl anymore, you lived in isolation for so long, and you let him feed upon your fear. You probably made him stronger, with all the fear that you held. Do not let him get the best of you again. You are a Queen. Hold your head up high, and do not let him take you down without a fight. You are not just a queen, you are a Snow Queen.

And with that last thought, a burst of power blasts from within me, blanketing the small room with white. I feel the metal cuffs break, and wind surges around me, blowing at my hair, and my dress. I hear Pitch scream agitatedly, and a wall getting blown up. It gets so white, that I clench my eyes shut to prevent myself from becoming blind.

After several seconds, I force my lids open, but only because I hear the guards shouting outside my door, undoubtedly wondering what was going on inside my lone cell. The door is clanging, and I know that they're trying to get in.

I glance at the wall, and see nothing but a white blanket of snow covering the whole kingdom. Wind is howling, and I know a blizzard is coming. I did this, I think, but I snap that thought from my head and ran out, meeting the snow storm headfirst.

Random Fact: I prefer listening to Broadway songs over new, and popular pop songs. The soundtrack from Wicked, Les Miserables, and Next to Normal are my favorites:)

Tell me a random fact about you guys! I want to get to know y'all better, and who knows? Maybe we all got something in common!
