Chapter Twenty-One: Riley
Well, I was tanned, groomed, and clothed and ready for the night to simply end. My hair was styled in a way that made me look like Leonardo Dicaprio. Ally had ironed my tux the night before; she really wanted this night to go well, so I was looking rather sharp. Johnny, Mace, and I stood in Ally’s living room, patiently waiting her arrival.
Johnny let out a laugh, “I don’t even know what the dress looks like.”
“Didn’t you go with her to get it?” Mace asked
He shook his head, “Nope, we went to one place but she didn’t like anything there.” He rolled his eyes and grinned, “I don’t get it, but that’s…” He trailed off; something had caught his eye from the top of the stairs. My eyes followed his line of gaze and saw what made Johnny stop mid-sentence. There stood Ally, chatting with her mother. She literally took our breaths away. Her blonde hair had been curled softy, creating waves that flew down her back like a waterfall. She had a long dress that hugged her perfectly. She really looked gorgeous.
She said goodbye to her mother, who didn’t bother with pictures for some reason, and joined us at the bottom of the stairs. Johnny still had his mouth wide open, speechless. Ally smiled at us, temporarily blinding us. Johnny, regaining the ability to move and speak, nervously said, “How the hell am I going to keep the guys away from you?”
Ally smiled at him, “Hold on, I have a surprise for Mace.” She rushed upstairs, leaving us all to question what she was going to get.
“What’s she going to do?” Mace asked Johnny.
He shrugged, “Hell if I know.”
I snickered, “Don’t ask him, his brains fried from seeing how gorgeous his girlfriend looks.”
Johnny sent me a threatening glare, “Watch it Riley. Focus on your own girl.”
“Surprise!” Ally said in a sing-songy voice. We all looked up to see the one and only Lizzy, standing in a purple dress that extended to her knees. Ally must have straightened her hair and done her makeup. She actually looked kind of pretty.
Mace gasped, “Lizzy?”
She flew down the stairs, ignoring Johnny and I, “Oh Mace, I’m so sorry I did that! Please forgive me, I don’t want to lose you!”
Mace looked at Johnny frantically, as if wondering if it would be okay to forgive her. Johnny grinned at him and nodded. “It-it’s alright, Lizzy.”
Lizzy smiled widely and threw her arms around Mace’s neck. “I’m so sorry!”She sobbed.
Johnny smiled and wrapped an arm around Ally’s waist. “Can we go now?”

I stood annoyed, next to Ally who was staring nervously at the large stage. Instead of having a nice homecoming with her, all her attention was on the Riley and Zoey situation.
“Oh my god, Johnny, I’m so nervous!”
I sighed and reached over, grabbing both her hands, “How about you focus on something on not them.” I say, pulling her closer to me.
She grins, “Sorry, hon.” She, still smiling, wraps her arms around my neck as I wrap my own around her waist.
“Did I twll you how gorgeous you look tonight?”
“Only a few times.” She says with a slight giggle.
“Alright ladies and gentlemen, it is time to announce the king and queen of homecoming!”
Ally’s hands tightened around my neck, “Oh god, Johnny!”
I sighed angrily and dropped my hands, following her to the large crowd gathering around the stage. I was going to have to settle for holding Ally’s hand instead of her.
“Oh god, there he is!” Ally squealed, squeezing my hand until it turned white.
Even my heart started to pound as Riley climbed onto the stage, shoving the principle out of the way.
