Chapter 20: "It's Okay Not To Be Okay"

ANGEL'S POV

After I nurse my baby, I put her back to her crib. I heard a knock on the door, I walk and open it.

"Angel, can we talk?" Z asked, I've been ignoring her for a week. I nodded, she silently walk in and sit on the bed, I followed her "Babe, I'm really really sorry, I've yelled at you and mostly for keeping a secret, please forgive me" she pulled me and she hug my waist.

I put my hands on her head, "I'm still mad at you"

She look up to me with pleading eyes, "I'm sorry, what should I do for you to forgive me?"

"Nothing"

She sighed heavily, "Alright" she stood up and walk out.

ZINX'S POV

I'm getting tired, why shouldn't just she forgive me? Ugh! Should I also give her a silent treatment.

"Z, let's go play" Ace came holding two skate boards.

I nodded, "Let's go"

When we arrived, there are a group of people there with skate boards. "Hey guys, this is Zinx that I'm talking about" they all turned and look at me, they're six, three boys and three girls.

I waved at them and smiled. "Hi"

"Zinx, meet my gang. There's Matt, Gab, Jasmin, Candice, and the twins, Jack and Jill"

"Nice to meet you all"

"Ace had said, you're a great skater" the guy named Matt said. I shrugged and give Ace a look, she just smirked. "Show us what you got then" he said.

"Alright" I got the skate board and show them what I really got.

Their jaws are dropped when I came back to them, "See that, that's my sister in law" Ace pat my back hardly.

"Sister in law?" Candice asked confused and surprised.

"Ah yeah, I forgot. Her girlfriend is my big sister, and their baby was just born" Ace answered, I glance at Candice that had a disappointed face. Why is that?

"Congratulations" they greeted me, I thanked them. Then Gab asked me if what's the gender.

"A girl"

We ate at my resto, well they asked and asked.

"Sorry guys, I had to go. Mom said Ivy is looking for me, bye" Candice said after looking at her phone and stood up walking out.

"Who's Ivy?" I know its not my business, but I'm just curious.

"Her daughter"

"Oh, she had a daughter?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah, her ex boyfriend left her because of the baby, he said that he's not ready to be a father" Jack answered. "But you, man. I'm proud of you, you took care of your girlfriend when she needed you the most" My cheeks burned at the comment, well I'm flattered. But when I think of Angel, my mood changed. We just had a misunderstanding, we'll also be okay in the end, I know that.

"Well, speaking of her. I need to go and see her, see you guys next meeting" I stood up and waved at them, they all said their 'goodbyes' then I go out to my car.

I knock on her room, hoping that she'll open it. "Angel?"

"Coming" I heard her said.

Hearing footsteps getting closer, I fix my peace offering that I'll give her. I just give her, her favorite.

The door swang open, I look at her. My eyes widened when I saw how horrible her features are. Her red eyes, I know she's been crying. And her messy hair. We stared at each other's eyes for a moment, but after that, I saw tears flowed down. "Baby?" I whispered, I cupped her cheeks wiping her tears with my thumb. She sobbed loudly and she hug my body, feeling wetness on my shirt at the chest part. I hug her back, dropping the present on the floor. Her sobs were muffled against my chest, "It's okay not to be okay"

She pulled away, and look up to me. "I know, asshole" she said with playful tone. I'm glad, that her playful side came back.

"Did you already...... forgave me?" I asked grinning.

She shrugged and look down at my present on the floor, then she pick it up. "What's this?" She asked curiously, she open it. She gasped and look at me like she can't believe that I brought her that. "You gave me red lacy lingeries, and its the latest?"

I scratch the back of head, "Um, yeah" well she always wear lingeries, even when going out, she wears that kind of underwear with different shades of the color red. So I thought, its her favorite and I bought the latest.

I was shocked when she suddenly hug me, again. "Okay..... I already forgive you" she said, I smiled. My peace offering worked! I'm glad. "But..." Ugh, why is there still a 'but'? "... you didn't still earned my trust" she grinned and leave me hanging, the fuck.

ACE'S POV

I was swimming on the pool when I noticed Annah watching me, I stopped for awhile and swim at her direction. "Why don't you join me?"

She shook her head, "No, thanks"

I just nod, but I lift myself up from the pool. Getting the towel from the patio table, I dried myself. Then I sit, she also sit.

"So Annah, how are you?" I decided to start a conversation.

She smiled, "I'm fine, how about you?" She asked back.

I shrugged, "I'm still breathing" I chuckled.

"Asshole, of course you idiot" she rolled her eyes, shit she's hot. Ugh, what am I thinking. "Done checking me out?" She asked out of the blue. Wait, did I just stare at her for a long time? Damn it.

"I'm not checking you out" I grunted, she giggled. Oh man, her voice. Ugh, stop it.

"Oh its so obvious. So don't be in denial"

"And don't also be assuming"

She shot me a look, "Diane is right, you're a pain in the ass" she yelled and stood up leaving me, I raise my eyebrows and made a face.

That twins are really killing me.

I wanna share something. This was when I was still at first year (Grade 7, last two years ago), it all started when its our Intramurals. I have a crush on this certain someone, she's a beauty and brains. She's always at the honor roll, one of the reason why I'm falling for her. Everyday, I can't wait for lunch. At lunch, I would give her love letters and etc., I tried to court her. Well my friends don't really like her for me, because they said that she has an evil side. I ignore my friends' advises and continue courting HER. But then, there's the time... She said, "I HATE LESBIANS". Then I was like... 😯😞, but I still pretend not to be affected by always putting a smile on my face, ☺, even tho its not genuine. I'm always saying to myself, "It's okay not to be okay".
