Chapter 10- The Classic Mystery

Early the next morning she got up from bed smiling uncontrollably, looking back at last night. Exceptionally she was looking forward to having a great day at school, hoping that she doesn't bounce into Alex again. She watched as the sun began to slowly brighten up the dull sky. She had been up for almost an hour now, listening to the soft sounds of nature going about its way. The clock read 6:07 a.m. she had always been an early bird, ever since she could remember.

She sighed aloud and leaned back on her pillow.

"Just another ordinary day!" she murmured to herself.

She idly walked to her bathroom and freshened up for school. She was wearing a cool, printed sweatshirt and skinny jeans with a  pair of lightly brown boots. After she had finished, she went downstairs and hazily waved her mom goodbye before going out the doors. Annie's SUV was already parked outside awaiting for Sabrina. While on their way to school they jammed to Dark Horse-Katy Perry.

Minutes later they had arrived in school. Then the bell rang lustily for the start of first period. She travelled down the hallways and passed a bunch of hot soccer players and almost got hit by the ball. Then in a flash she reached her physics class. All through her physics class she was bored out of her mind but still managed to stay awake. Sabrina felt weird without seeing Alex this morning. it's like she was looking forward to seeing him. She still wasn't sure what it all means, but didn't give much thought on it either. Strangely she didn't want the day to pass by too quickly.

Soon after the bell rang for the last period. So she got up and proceeded to her last class.  She had another tedious period of science. There were a few people now coming in and one of them were Alex. The moment she saw him her face was shining like a great sunflower. She was quite happy to for his presence. There was an empty seat right next to Sabrina and he took it giving her a gracious smile.

She returned it as she concealed how glad she was too see him. "Hi Sabrina," he said delightfully gently resting all his books on the desk.

She responded, "Hey Alex!" with a warm welcoming smile.

"I didn't know you were doing science," he remarked lifting his eyebrows.

"Hmm, well there's a lot you don't know about me," she said playfully.

He uttered, "Well I can't wait to find out."

Their conversation was interrupted by Mr. Brown (science teacher) who was shouting at the top of his voice. "Listen up class!" he shouted in a heavy tone. Instantly getting the students to turn around and pay full attention.

He commenced, "I've got an assignment for you to do," he continued," your lab partner would be the person sitting next to you!"

Sabrina said to herself, "Thank God!" sadly because she couldn't get along with any other student in her class.

Moments later she resumed to her conversation saying, " Lets get to work!"

He responded half smiling, "Sure but first i need to know about my lab partner."

She replied giggling, "You'll know along the way,don't worry."

He remarked blissfully, "I hope so!" winking at her. She couldn't help the big grin that plastered her face.

Unexpectedly, a light breeze passed and flipped open the pages of his notebook. There were magnificent drawings of angels and other stuff. He knew how to draw, that was something new. "Wow, Can i see them?" she asked looking amused.

She took a look at them and admired each sketch until she came across a drawing that had her name signed on it. "Why is my name on his drawing?" she uttered to herself. "Maybe it's another Sabrina." she thought to herself. Then she asked him, "So do you wanna do the labs at my house?"

He acquired, "No, I've got just the place for us to study after school." She asked astonishingly, "Where?" and he responded," Wanna go see it today?"

She answered, "Sure,why not?" Afterwards the bell rang out loud as a collection of students flew out the door.

School was over finally.

Momentarily Alex said,"Come with me now."

Then they went straight to his crimson, red truck.
