CHAPTER SIX Secrets

Persephone's POV •

"Pers!"

I opened an eye and there, I saw eyes with the same color as mine staring back at me.

"Pers! Get up! We're gonna go shopping!" She said and walked out my room.

I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. Then I put on a jean shorts and a plaid top. I slid on my converse and put my hair up into a ponytail.

Right when I was about to go out my room, Perrie entered. When she saw me, she smiled but it faded when she saw my hair.

"Please tell me you're not gonna go out with your hair like that." She asked with a are-you-kidding-me look. I frowned.

"Why? What's wrong with it?" I asked. She then walked up behind me and started pulling the hair clip from my hair.

"Hey! What are you-"

"You're not gonna go out like that!" She said and pulled my hand to her room.

She rummaged through her drawers until she pull up her flower crown. She walked up to me and put the flower crown underneath my hair and on my hairline. Just like how she always wear her hair with a flower crown.

"There!" She smiled brightly.

Typical Perrie. Flower crowns had always been her signature ever since we turned 13.

"C'mon! We're gonna go out to eat breakfast then go shopping! Alright?" She chimed. I smiled and nodded.

We then walked downstairs and made our way through the kitchen. Mum was sitting on the high-chair of the kitchen island, laughing with our aunt.

She turned to us and smiled. She got up from her chair and walked towards us, opening her arms.

"Oh look at my girls!" She said smiling and hugged the both of us. Wow.. Nice acting mum. She let go of us, still smiling and looked at Perrie then at me.

"Mum, we're gonna spend the day together, alright? We'll be back soon." Perrie smiled.

"Alright, girls. Be careful!" She said smiling. Perrie turned away from her then mum's eyes landed on me, her smile faded. She glared at me until Perrie pulled me outside.

_____

"So.. What's happening around the house?" Perrie asked and took a bite of her burger.

"Well.. same." I shrugged. I don't want to tell her what's really happening. I just didn't want her to worry. Especially when our mum just almost kicked me out last night.

"Pers, please tell me the truth. Is it bad?" She asked worriedly.

"Is what bad?" I asked. Although I know what she was talking about.

"What mum is doing. Is she hurting you?" She asked.

"Seriously, Pezz. I promise she's not. Everything's getting better actually." I lied, giving her a smile.

"How's dad?" She asked again and took a sip of her coke.

"I haven't heard about him." I shrugged. "What about Caitlin?" She said.

"Why do you care about Caitlin so much?" I asked. "Because she is my sister. Our sister." She said emphasizing the word 'our'.

"In case you forgot, dad left us for Caitlin and her mum." I rolled my eyes and looked out the glass window beside me.
