Its summer, which also means its a new term. I'd fallen out of touch with everyone, except Maddie. But today at lunch, I sit alone against a wall, my head is lowered and my smile is broken. I still wear a jumper and as I sit there, I stare at my scared wrist, tears form in my eyes and I shake them away. A hand is placed on my shoulder and I look up to see Selena standing there.
"What do you want?" I said, turning away from her.
"I wanna be friends" she said, a smile fixed on her face.
"You have got to be kidding me" a males voice said.
"Babe, I just want to get along with her...There can't be no harm in that?" I stood up and swatted her hand off.
"Okay...Bitch...Lets get one fucking thing straight...WE ARE NEVER GOING TO BE FRIENDS, YOU TREATED ALL OF US LIKE SHIT" I turned to Alijah.
"And I thought you had more fucking common sense!" That trough both of them back.
"Jakerlyn...What is wrong with you?" It was Maddie's voice. I ran straight into her arms and began to fall apart. She held me tight against her chest and stroked my hair.
"I can't seem to get that memory out of my head" she knew exactly what I meant.
"You guys can leave now" she said in a bitchy tone. They backed up and began to walk off.
"You will be okay...I don't know when but you will" it took me a while to agree, but before long it was home time.
