Chapter 9

3:07 PM- Elizabeth: are you free for an ice cream? This time is serious.

3:07 PM- Me: aren't you going to the game?

3:07 PM- Elizabeth: yes I am.

3:08 PM- Elizabeth: You didn't answer my question.

3:08 PM - Me: Yes I am free... Yesterday I was too.

3:08 PM- Elizabeth: Cool :)

3:10 PM- Elizabeth: you know I'm sorry for yesterday, don't you?

3:10 pm- Me: I know, don't worry.

I send a text to mom letting her known were I was gonna be even though she is in another state, then took some money from the counter and the car keys. I turn on the car engine and set up in the GPS the location Elizabeth send me.
It was peaceful in the car, I didn't turn on the radio, I need to think about what has been happening since yesterday lunch.

Elizabeth's​ change of emotion suddenly happen, when she cancelled I saw in her emptiness and dullness in her beautiful eyes.

I parked in front of a colorful store, the facade mostly pink and white.
I get out of the car and enter the store, inside there was more pink and white.

   "Ma'am" I say tapping on Elizabeth's shoulder, she is sitting in one of the pink cabins, her hair in a simple braid at the side, reading her gross book.

   "Yes?" Elizabeth says while turning "Alex! I didn't know it was you!" She said turning red.

   "You always turn red when seeing me?" I said shamelessly.

   "Well it goes the same for you" the girl smile michevously, making me red too.

- Damn This girl!

   "Wanna order something?" Elizabeth says standing up, I follow her to the self-service machines "what flavor do you want?"

   I examinate the line of flavors, there were normal ones but also some of them had funny name like: cotton candy explosion, frutty punch mix, and sugar cane.

  "There are weird flavors" I say figuring out how frutty punch mix would taste.

   "Well you can chose a normal one" Elizabeth says, then she take a cup and fill it with sugar cane ice cream.

   I surely make a disgust expression because the girl told me not to judge her, then I go and take a cup and fill it with blueberries ice cream, we went to pay in the cashier.

   "Hey! I told you next time it was on me" I say trying to look for cash in my pockets. Elizabeth open her bag and starts to look fastly too. I take out 10 dollars and hand it to the guy in the register, Elizabeth sights in frustration making a sad puppy face, melting my heart with that expression.

   We go out and sit on a bench near the colorful store.

   "Why won't you let me pay?" I say eating some of my ice cream.

   "I just... don't know" the girl hesitate and look at her ice cream cup.

   We ate our ice creams in silence for a few minutes, I knew Elizabeth was still bothered by yesterday, and I also knew she was anxious to go and see Cameron playing.

   "Try this one" the girl says taking me out of my thoughts placing her spoon with sugar cane ice cream infront of my mouth.

   "Oh, no thanks" I say moving back my head a little.
