"Hey, Gardner!" A loud voice calls me from the classroom's door "We'll be partners" Sarah says with excitement approaching my seat.

"That kinda rhyme" I laugh at the brunette's eagerness, to be honest too much energy for being so early in the morning.

"Well, it did!" Opting a more serious tone this time "Cam's still sick, so we're gonna be mates" Sarah says, holding up her fist to bump it, I look hesitantly for a few seconds and then gave up and bring my fist to hers "I already looked up some information we could use to do the assignment"

Sarah place her belongings in the empty right seat behind mine and start digging inside the black and white striped backpack. A few moments later, the girl took out some papers, and handed them to me, I took them and read the information.

"This will be useful" I say placing the information in the desk.

"Changing of subject..." Sarah has a mischievous smirk all over her face.

"I heard you and Liza went out, is it true?" the smirk still on her face, I roll my eyes thinking of an answer.

- I don't like the turn this conversation took.

"We did, yeah" my tone a bit shaky "how do you know?" Curiosity taking over me.

"My sister's girlfriend told me..." Sarah says a little hesitantly "She was in the cafe yesterday and saw you and Elizabeth"

A little smile appears on my mouth, making Sarah more comfortable, the dark eye girl continue talking "She ask who you were and if you guys were on a date or something" A laugh scapes from the girls mouth, I widen my eyes at the comment and feel the redeness in my face  "Were you and..."

"No we weren't" I cut Sarah fastly "she asks me to go with her to the music store and then we drink something" I say shyly

"Ok, ok, you don't gotta tell me everything you both did" Sarah say with a big smile "but, if something happen It would be... amazing" that comment caught me off guard, Sarah explain herself "I love Cam...but Liza and he, they just don't fit" Sara sighs, I furrow my eyebrows in thought "Is like toy bricks, some fit some others don't. They don't"

I just stay in silence, trying to put the conversation together, Sarah breaks the silence again.

"I know you've been here for less than a week, but you seem like a really good person" the brunette stops and look deeply at me, detailing every inch of my face, her eyes a little close "I hope I'm not sending my friend with a weirdo" she says failing on making a serious tone.

"I should say thank you then" I burst into laughter at the protectiveness of the girl.

"The thing is that Liza is really shy... She would had never invite a complete stranger..."

I cut off Sarah "Hi! I'm Alex Gardner, my pleasure to meet you" I extend my hand to the girl "and Elizabeth ask me yesterday if we could hang out"

Sarah shakes my hand "I'm sorry" an apologetic look in her face "but, somehow, with you she connected immediately... Like two bricks that fit" Sarah nods proudly to herself.

A few minutes later the teacher arrive and everyone was already with their respective partners, as the teacher instructed on Monday. Sarah and I sit next to the wall were the timeline was, so we could look at it if we needed. We had to do a report how the second world war affect European society economically, cultural, in religion and other aspects of the society.
Sarah and I immerse a lot in the assignment that we were the only ones left when the bell rang to announce the change of class then we found Mr Jones standing infront of us with an expectantly face, we hand the finished work to him. Sarah and I then, start packing up fastly, we both were late for the next class.
