Chapter 1.6 'Questions'

Chapter 1.6

I slammed the door and sulked in bed. I was too stupid.

Flashback..

Sunday came by so fast. It feels like just yesterday I moved to B.A.P's dorm. As a matter of fact, it was the other day ago. I was on my way to the classroom when I felt those stares coming back to me. But it was different. It didn't feel deadly. I ignored it and slowly reached my classroom.

"Hi Jye!"

"Goodmorning Jye!"

Almost everybody in the classroom greeted me. Including the girl who once bullied me before. I think her name was Isabel? I replied them with a good but weird smile as I made my way to my chair. Zelo and the others weren't here for they had a concert in japan and will be returning tonight. The teacher went in and discussed about the Rock Cycle and theories which I find boring.

The whole class time all I did was stare out the window. I didn't listen to everything she said but I knew it already because I self-studied earlier. It was completely boring without the boys but I'll survive.

Finally! Our last teacher for home room entered and made a quick announcement.

"Okay boys and girls settle down. I have a very important announcement for all of you. This Thursday we will be having our prom together with the seniors. Don't worry about decorating the Hall because we will be the one responsible for it. All you need to do is fix yourself for the prom. Girls should be wearing long gowns and boys will be wearing suits. It will start at 7pm in the evening and will be ending at 11pm. Most importantly,boys, choose from the girls who you want to be a date for the prom. I will be giving you the rest of the time to talk about it with your classmates. That is all."

Prom?! My first ever prom! Oh my gosh. This is so exciting. I need to buy a gown. It needs to be pretty. Who should I go with? Wait. I already know.

After daydreaming for a while, the teacher exited the room. The moment he stepped out, all the boys stood up and went to the girls. Almost half of he classroom was heading my way. Weird. Maybe their going to ask the girl behind me. My eyes widened as they all stopped in front of me.

"Can I help you?" I asked with a smile.

"Will you be my date to the prom?" First boy asked.

"No! Please be mine's!" Second boy said.

The other boys then followed. I wasn't sure if this is real so I wanted to reassure it.

"Is this some kind of a joke?" I asked seriously. They all waved their hands and shook their heads implying that they were serious. I didn't know how to say no properly because I didn't want to break their hearts so I had to make up an excuse. I was also waiting for the right guy to ask me so for the meantime, no.

"I'll think about. I'll tell you guys when I made up my choice." I smiled at them as they slowly went back to their seats and started doing their own stuff. I went to Isabel who was watching me the whole time.

"What happened? Did they lose their brains?" I asked her. I heard her laugh after I finish my sentence.

"Trust me, their serious. They found out you were close with the most famous boys in school. They examined you and um, actually noticed that your pretty?" She said. Me? Pretty? No way.

"Their crazy." We both laughed and the bell rang signaling that it was dismissal time. I quickly fixed my things and headed home. I was too excited to tell him about prom. I entered the dorm and found all of them seating on the couch resting while watching the television.

"Welcome back!" I shouted out of excitement. I can see them all shocked at my loud voice.

"Thank you!" They shouted back at me. I laughed and went to my room to change my clothes. I wore my pink sweater and tucked it in my high waist shorts. I went out after checking myself in the mirror and joined them in the leaving room.

"Everyone please listen first." I said as I stood in front of the television,blocking their view. Their turned their heads to my direction looking eager to listen.

"Prom is coming! This Thursday. You should be wearing suits and also pick a date for the prom. Any ideas of who you'll ask?" I asked them. They shook their heads in reply. Including Zelo.

Ouch. He didn't even think of me first. I was already in a bad mood. To think I even thought that he had a crush on me. Pfsh.

"Oh ok.." I said sadly. They noticed it but didn't pay any attention to it. I sat down quietly and watched quietly and rested quietly. I was too disappointed to say anything. Daehyun went to the kitchen to cook dinner so we helped by preparing the table. We ate dinner happily. Correction, they ate dinner happily. I just sat there, playing with the food in front of me. I didn't have the appetite to eat dinner.

"Uh, I'm not really hungry. I'll just go to my room." I stood up and walked away. I could feel them watching me from my back.

Flashback ends.

ugggh. Stupid.stupid.stupid. You're so stupid Jye! Why did you even think that a super handsome singer could ever fall in love with a nobody? For an hour and a half, my face was planted in my pillow. I heard the door open and close the footsteps walking towards me. It sat at my bed and caressed my hair.

"Jye? Are you okay?" He asked. I knew that voice. It was too familiar. I turned my head to the side to find me face to face with Zelo. I slightly nodded my head. He grabbed my shoulders and pulled me to sit up. I looked at him in the eyes and got completely lost in those beautiful eyes.

"Uh, I wanted to ask you something." Whatever he says, don't get your hopes up suddenly. I nodded once again at him.

"Did someone already ask you to the prom?"

"Yeah." I said. Don't get your hopes up.

"Did you say yes?" He asked.

"I said I'll think about it."

"Oh."

"Why?"

"Can I ask you something?" I'm starting to get impatient with this conversation.

"What is it?" Well now maybe you could get your hopes up.

"I know many boys have already asked but I wanted to try. Will you be my date for the prom?" He asked. Is this real? Did he just ask me to the prom?

"Can you pinch me first?" I asked him.

"Huh, why?" He laughed.

"Because I feel like I'm dreaming." We both laughed and he playfully pinched me. I blinked a couple of times then I smiled widely like a kid. I hugged him out of happiness.

"Does this mean yes?" He asked while he returned the hug I gave him. I nodded a lot making me dizzy then the rest of the night we just talked about what we would do at the prom.

This is so gonna be a good prom.
