Chapter 2.1: 'Secret'

Zelo's P.O.V.

Finally found her after running around the school. She was staring out the window alone in the corridor. I started to think about what I'm supposed to do. Am I supposed to approach her or give her time? I decided to talk to her and tell her everything.

I walked tiny silent steps towards her. Every step I take, I kept thinking about what how I'm supposed to tell her and how she'll be able to react.

"Jye." I called. She turned and faced me with a smiling face.

"About what happened.." She was eagerly listening to my explanation as I continued to speak.

"Look, she's just a close childhood friend. And regarding what happened earlier, even I was shocked. But please don't get mad." I continued to plead.

"Childhood friend huh? Tell me Zelo. Would just a childhood friend kiss you at the cheeks and call you yeobo?" I thought she would understand. But she was hiding her anger behind that foolish smile.

"I'll talk to her. So please stop being mad."

"I don't know Zelo." She turned around and went inside the classroom. I don't know what to do anymore. I'll try telling Sophia to stop but I'm not sure if she'll follow.

"Goodmorning class. Today is a wonderful day so let's make it much more wonderful with math lessons." The teacher said as all students started to groan. "Oh and Mr.Choi, the vice-principal is asking for you." I nodded and went out of the classroom.

I opened the door to the vice-principal's office only to see him talking with one of the teachers. I bowed to them then the teacher left.

"Please take a seat." He said. I sat at one of the chairs in front of his table and greeted him politely.

"Goodmorning sir. You were asking for me?"

"Yes. You are familiar with the new transferee student,yes?" I nodded. "I was wrong to ask Ms.Park to show her around seeing that she is busy with the orders from the principal and your teachers so I'd want to ask you to do it instead. Okay?"

"But sir, why me?" I asked. I wouldn't want to do it,honestly. That would make Jye much more upset than she is right now.

"I have heard that you were friends since before so it would make the situation better since you both would be comfortable with each other. So I expect to see you touring her around starting this afternoon. You may go back to your class." I stood up sulking but he didn't seem to notice it. I bowed and went out of the room.

What am I supposed to do right now?

Jye's P.O.V.

I was arranging the papers for the upcoming school festival. The principal told me to arrange the program so I'm here alone in the classroom while all of them are having their lunch break.

"Ahhh I'm so hungry." I said rubbing my tummy. I haven't eaten anything yet for this day. I was looking around the classroom when I saw Zelo together with Sophia walking around the hallway. Sophia had her arms curled up around Zelo's arm and he's just smiling.

"Wow. The nerve of that girl to flirt with someone else's boyfriend!" I shouted which made echoes around the empty classroom. I wanted to forget what I saw and focus on my work. The classroom door opened and I saw Daehyun enter.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked while heading towards my way. He took a chair and sat down on it beside me.

"Finishing work." I said as I let out a loud sigh while placing my head on my arm which is on the table.

"Are you okay? You don't look like you're in a good mood."

"Not really. Zelo's been flirting around with a girl which I clearly told him I didn't like." I said.

"I know how to make you feel better!" He said and started dragging me out of my chair.

"Where're we going?" I asked. Before he could completely pull me, I managed to grab my wallet and phone. He led me outside in the open field then we sat down in one of the benches near a vending machine.

"What are we doing here?" I asked him.

"I thought you needed fresh air so I brought you here." He smiled. Well I did need some fresh air and some time away from work.

"Want some coffee?" He asked. I nodded then he stood up and went to the vending machine.

"Here." He handed me one coffee then drank the other.

"Daehyun." I called.

"Yeah?"

"Do you know who Sophia really is? I mean, what is she to Zelo?" I asked.

"She was our classmate back in middle school. She became friends with Zelo and eventually became close to us. She became our number one fan and she was always with us, like you." He looked at me and smiled. "One day, Zelo was really depressed because the dog that his father left him died. So Sophia was his closest friend that time. We couldn't even do anything. Then one day, we just found out that they were already in a relationship."He explained. So they were in a relationship.

"Why did they break up?" I asked. He looked at me seriously.

"They never did." He simply said. What?! I stood up from my seat in shock. They never broke up?! Is he cheating on me? What? Why? Why did he ask me to be his girlfriend if already has one?

"Is he cheating on me? So Sophia is his girlfriend? What am I to him? I thought I was his girlfriend?" I asked him.

"Only Zelo can answer your questions." He said placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Come on. We better get back to the classroom. Lunch break is already done." He said. He turned his back and walked away.

I couldn't process anything right now. My mind's totally not working at all. Everything he said, I can't seem to believe it. How.. How could he?

He's cheating on me? No, I'm wrong. He's cheating on her with me?!
