The sky was beginning to fade into an evening cloudy color. The night was falling."Is everyone here?" Miss Beatrice asked, straining her eyes to observe the sky.
She turned toward the row of girls standing before her. Some typing away on their phones and others plastered on a bored look while chewing gum.
"Come on, take your numbers." She added just to make sure everyone's back with her.
Red Thorne Girls HighSchool had decided to take their 11th grade girls on a field trip to visit major forest destinations. They were currently at their last stop- The Oneiroi Black Forest.
"Uh.., Casey, Pam and Emily aren't here." A brunette, Rhea, spoke up.
Miss Beatrice looked at Rhea through her thin rimmed huge glasses and waited patiently for some seconds for her to continue.
When nothing else was heard, she asked, secretly hoping there would be an answer," Well, where are they?"
"I don't know." Rhea replied, not knowing what to say. She hadn't the slightest hint on where the trio had went.
Miss Beatrice was worried now. Not that she cared much about the girls, but because she was the main teacher out of the three assigned to this trip, accommodating 34 girls.
If all the girls don't make it back, she'll be the one blamed.
She sighed knowing that she'll have to go look for them now.
"I think i saw them walking towards the forest a while back." Another student spoke up.
"You think?" Miss Beatrice pressed, expecting another piece of information.
"Yeah... I mean.... I thought they were just..., Goofing around." And in that moment under everyone's, including Miss Beatrice's penetrating gaze, she wished she hadn't said anything.
Unfortunately Miss Beatrice wasn't satisfied. She went inside the bus they were traveling in and took out the flashlight.
"You girls stay here. Inside.The.Bus." she emphasized on the last words, putting maximum strain to let them know that if anyone dares takes a step outside, the consequences would be severe.
She motioned for the bus driver to come with her, indicating that the other two teachers will stay with the rest. They were more than happy to comply while the driver didn't look so fascinated.
Miss Beatrice let out another sigh in annoyance. It was getting dark now. It would be harder to find them in the night.
'Oh when i find them!' She thought angrily.
