Casey looked back and saw a look of absolute terror takeover Pam's widened eyes.
Pam looked down and then straight ahead. Her breath hitched and for a moment, they didn't move.
In the split second, Pam grabbed Casey's hand and ran back to the open door. She was praying furiously that it doesn't close.
She ran faster than she ever had before. The distance between them and the door seemed to expand with each step they took towards it. Pam audibly cursed under her breath.
Somehow they reached the door and made it outside. But that didn't stop Pam.
Run.
Run away.
Get out.
The words flashing through her mind faster than a bullet train.
"What happened?" A bewildered Casey's loud question left unanswered.
Casey tried to stop but Pam was suddenly too strong. Her deathly grip not loosening.
Then, almost immediately, Pam stopped. She let go of Casey's hand, breathing hard and looking down.
"What.....*breath*..... happened?" Casey let out between ragged breaths.
Pam looked straight into Casey's eyes, a look of haunting still etched on her otherwise pretty face.
"There was no ground..... No end.... Just a..... Cloudy..... Surface." Pam let out.
"What?" Casey asked, confusion lingering in those light blue eyes.
"No end Casey! There was no end!" Pam screamed.
It took a moment but the words sunk in. Painfully.
No End.
