The Truth

As Adjo awoke he thought that everything had been a dream, he walked out his room happy and saw that Femi was there he asked her if she wanted to go with him for a walk of the palace and she said that someone else wanted to see him. He was joyful and asked who, she said Mesi. He fainted. He awoke hoping to see Femi's face but to his horror it was Mesi's face. He was so shocked he jumped and accidentally hit Mesi in the leg. She screamed with pain and Adjo was dragged away by his father for a big talking to. His father said to him "Adjo, that is not a way to say good morning to your future wife." Adjo screamed. His father said for him to be quiet and asked why he screamed. Adjo said to his father that he didn't like Mesi and that she bragged too much. The pharaoh said that Adjo had to marry someone he loved but sometime =s things don't always go as planned. Adjo frowned. He was then forced to hang with Mesi for the whole day, but Femi was always with him along the way. 

As noon was approaching they started their journey home for lunch. Along the way Mesi asked Adjo if he loved her, Adjo said "I am entirely against lying, so I will tell you how I feel about you, I don't love you, I have eyes for another." Mesi was very angry with Adjo she didn't try and talk to him for the rest of the day. She rather had eyes for another boy. Seth his older brother. Adjo was so happy. But he had to tell his father what had happened. The pharaoh asked if Seth had fallen in love with Mesi and Adjo told his father that Seth had had eyes for Mesi since she first walked into the palace and in his opinion they were meant for each other not himself and Mesi that's why he never had had eyes for Mesi. 

As supper had ended Mesi said she was sorry for her actions and said that she didn't care that he didn't love her because she had eyes for his older brother Seth. Adjo said he did not mind and knew from the beginning they were a match, the best match that e had ever seen. He then asked Mesi a question he had never asked anyone "How do you know if a girl likes you?" Mesi looked surprised and asked if it was to know if the girl he liked liked him back. He nodded while blushing. Mesi said "Adjo, if you are meant for each other she or you will profess their own love, wait until the time is right and tell her,  but if she tells first tell her you love her too." Adjo thanked Mesi for the great advice and told her where Seth's room was so she could go and meet him there. He then went to his room to find Femi. She was dusting some possessions he had. He told her that she was a great cleaner and she thanked him. He then told her that she can have the rest of the night to do as she pleased and he went downstairs to play Jacks with Ako until it was dark and they were told to go to their beds.
